A lot of people feel herb was Dolans spy in the locker room. Him being removed means Dolan won't be able to second guess the coach/Phil DA gawd as much.
This is really looking like a legitimate change instead of just a cover up.

Anyways sorry Mike. I liked your show on MSG though. Inept coaching, terrible starting lineup choices, the inability to see they Felton was getting torched by every PG in the league, didn't sit or trade JR when he was abissmal, sitting Stat down when he would be fire and the only reason we would be in games, letting JB Smoove have his own show on MSG, not digging into Tyson skull to develop an offensive game or improve foul shooting, playing Melo for 45 mins a game, and the last straw for me was not getting a serviceable PG to help cover Felton's lack of defensive. He had to go. Folks saying other wise simply don't follow the Knicks and only know what they see on here from idiots who hate anything NY.

This. It was basically public knowledge Herb was Dolan's eyes and ears in the lockerroom, I find it surprising now people are actually realizing this when after the Knicks fired D'Antoni and his staff Dolan kept Herb on. I'm thinking Odom will actually be Phil's Herb Williams in the lockerroom now and since Lamar seems very loyal to Phil will probably answer to him only unlike a Herb Williams.
But either way this is a house cleaning of the highest order, Phil ain't playing.
