Woodson is a good coach but he knows he was gonna be the fall guy for the Knicks season this year. He should go into college, some school will pay him top bucks to coach their team.
Espn was throwing great stats about Woodson and the Knicks since van gundy left, granted it was obvious, he's not Phil's dude but he isn't that bad of a coach. I don't think he'll get another chance to coach st the pro level, at least for a while. But I can see him going to college ball, isn't he a bobby knight guy?
This assumes 3 silly notions: 1) He didn't coach badly this season. 2) He's the only one that's getting the boot. 3) He's not the reason they missed the Playoffs. Many things caused them to drop games but only Woodson cost them the Playoffs. It's so obvious that these “fall guy” comments are coming from the media. Y'all really need to stop letting the media think for you.
If he's good, not that bad, and only the “fall guy”, then why wouldn't he be able to coach in the NBA again? It's because no one who researches the way he coached this season will find it helpful to their franchise.
knicks were 3-8 in games decided by 5 points or less. we saw enough of his lack of creativity in close games on offense. we saw it in atlanta with iso-joe and we saw it in ny with iso-melo. hes been coaching for ten years, giving him one more season to run that same old tired, bullshyt "offense" wouldnt help anyone. he wasnt going to change his philosophy and thats fine, but lets stop treating this man like a victim. he should of been fired in december, he got another three months to turn it around and failed. tough. It funny because no one gave Woodson credit last year yet he gets the blame when he loses , it's not about the media, I actually think he can work in the NBA again, I just think college is a better job at this point. I think the front office deserves way morem blame, trading for Bargnani was a poor decision. Losing Steve Novak hurt them. Tyson Chandler talks a big game but has been next to useless. The thing is the NBA is a player driven league and when things go bad the coach takes an unncessary brunt of the blame, I know Phil Jackson likes Steve Kerr as the potential replacement but I think Woodson, should have at least been given the beginning of next season.

they'll be in prime position to contend in 2015.ok no matter the knicks have some rough seasons no matter what.
Woodson has a winning record from the time he coached the knicks and he got them into the playoffs for the first time since the early 2000s.This assumes 3 silly notions: 1) He didn't coach badly this season. 2) He's the only one that's getting the boot. 3) He's not the reason they missed the Playoffs. Herb Williams is PAWGing out there. Dolan's gonna bring him back midway through the season as an 'advisor'

can't blame him for one and not give him credit for the other.
he delt with a bunch of horrible back office decisions along with injuries which really set him up to fail this season imo
front office has nothing to do with him running a 38 year old jason kidd into the ground, to the point he was scared to shoot in the playoffs, leaving us 4vs5 and still decides not to play copeland in the indiana series until it was too late. front office has nothing to do with him playing favorites by letting raymond felton get torched on defense by every pg, every single game. or letting jr smith shoot 0-11 going into the 4th quarter and then shyt on others like shumpert, metta and udrih in the media for the same things felton and smith did. front office has nothing to do with woodson going out of his way not to play melo at 4 even when its shown its better for the team with wins and losses, instead his answer is "the east is big man". he stops treating amare with kid gloves and finally plays him consistently with melo and they go on this run to get back into it. players consistently keep saying they dont want to switch on defense, he obviously didnt care to change that because they never stopped doing it. hes the head coach, hes capable of stopping that shyt. he had a fair shot as anyone on this team, he didnt adjust. no need to cry woe for that man, he made his own bed.Woodson has a winning record from the time he coached the knicks and he got them into the playoffs for the first time since the early 2000s.

We won in spite of Woodson. He is a horrible X and Os coach. What is all of this Woodson wasn't that bad shyt...
When he was in Atlanta they were okay for a few years and then they just quit on him...
In New York the players just quit on him in less than 2 years...
Never seen a good coach who's players quit on him 2 times in a row
