My brother, I don't really care to engage in shyt like that. The long and short is that both generations were fukked over and they both had their own problems to deal with. Learn from your elders, build with them if you can, and if not keep it moving. I don't care to hear old heads run their mouth about the glory days and how we ain't shyt but that's really all some of these dudes have. It's literally their rope.Nope it's true, and needed to be said, because nikkas of all ages love to talk about how pitiful millennials are, and pretend like old nikkas are so much better...how are they better? What did they do? Old nikkas dropped the ball majorly and are a big reason black millenials are behind other races. They act like it's inherently our faultIt is what it is though. I try to tell other nikkas my age to do the opposite of what our "elders" did i.e. relying on cacs (who rather see you starve, as a black male) for a job for the rest of your life and not passing anything down to your kids. That's what most of them did and still believe in doing, so i don't listen to their "advice", they don't even understand the system, what they were supposed to do as a parent, or what's going on
There are black people alive right now that remember what it was like when the community did for self, owned their homes and businesses , and didn't have rampant drugs and crime. I'd like to talk to those guys before the idea of a successful black community in America dies with them
