nah, based off the billet you're getting assigned to. like my last job before I got out, it required a TS so before I PCS'd from Gitmo, they initiated it. The process is mad long and they really do go back to you're HS teacher and shyt...took 7-8 months for them to finally adjudicate my shyt but it's worth it...opens up so many gigs for you if you decide to get out since it lets employers know that it won't be that much of an issue for you to get one...automatically bumps you up another 5-15k in salary

If you go with them, don't go in under an "open" or "general" contract. Seen that shyt happen too often with USMC and USAF folks just signing up without a guaranteed MOS and ending up with some dumb shyt like security forces or worse.

If you go with them, don't go in under an "open" or "general" contract. Seen that shyt happen too often with USMC and USAF folks just signing up without a guaranteed MOS and ending up with some dumb shyt like security forces or worse.

Because all the branches pay the same, but the marines are the strictest and make it the hardest. Plus there's not as much potential for career advancement when they have this "everybody's infantry" mentality. They take pride in being so disciplined or whatever but I aint about that life, that's masochism. Shieet I wish I was af, their the most "corporate" feeling branch, its cake, and they got the nicest things. including women
