Let em go, cities should never have to pay for useless amenities
Shiiiiiit.. Staples Center literally transformed DTLA. It used to be a grade A sh*thole and ghost town but now the entire area is on fire and will soon be a better entertainment destinaton than Hollywood in a couple of years tops. Unless Milwaukee's roads, public services, and schools are completely f*cked footing half the bill on a new arena might be the catayst for growth and transformation that changes a city for years to come.

But if they need the tax dollars for other needs then carry on:ehh:

My Pops Forever RIP
these cities need to quit bending over to sports franchises and set a fukking prescedent. financing an arena from tax dollars almost ALWAYS doesn't bring the city or municipality any significant return on investment.

and there's a million articles on the web that support this very argument.
When they leave, you STILL won't get that much needed revenue and now you don't have a team.

Sports has an attachment to this country and its cities more than anywhere else. If the Bulls left Chicago and all you had left was DePaul college hoops, you'd cry like your daddy walked out on you. So imagine when that fear of God hits a smaller town that identifies more with a sports team.

It's dirty. It's wrong, but at times it's genius.

This is bullshyt.

I'm sick of these teams forcing the public to finance their stadiums/arenas.
The public gets fukked and the owners reap all the profits.

All you have to do is look at what happened with the Marlins in Florida to see what a HORRIBLE deal these things are.
While we at it, Micky Harrison and the heat are defrauding the fukk out of the city of Miami too. This fool claims every year that he is losing money.

They're looking to do the same with the Kings New DTWN arena over here. K Street (the area the new arena is being built at) has been :trash: for decades .

Real estate has already skyrocked Downtown in anticipation :francis:
