those players deserve more than to live there.
Anyway.those players deserve more than to live there.
Anyway. They've been talking about a hockey team in Seattle for the longest time now.
i feel the same way about the bulls. let's be real, the day this move ever happens, the overwhelming consensus would be cavs/grizz ECF. no bulls fan would want this move to happen.I don't know what to say, that team just puts no fear into me![]()
I'd rather see what ever incarnation of the Griz in 3-5 years than what the Bucks may becomei feel the same way about the bulls. let's be real, the day this move ever happens, the overwhelming consensus would be cavs/grizz ECF. no bulls fan would want this move to happen.
Seattle gets a team before Vegas. I think the Vegas folks are out of their minds. Its a largely tourist economy so how are they gonna build a fan base out of the local degenerates?
all game.Yes it is. See Taylor, Glen.its not really possible to make an agreement like that binding i dont believe
Unless they also had AAA pregame, halftime, and post game shows, which is quite possible...who cares?meh transplants from around the country and canada pay hundreds while there down there for shows. I think it will work, especially the gambling aspect. Go lay 100 on your team then go watch them play live andall game.
This is bullshyt.
I'm sick of these teams forcing the public to finance their stadiums/arenas.
The public gets fukked and the owners reap all the profits.
All you have to do is look at what happened with the Marlins in Florida to see what a HORRIBLE deal these things are.
in the very short term (and if the team is good) that might work. if the team isnt great? good luck getting locals to battle strip traffic to pay out the ass to watch some trash hoops game of a relocated franchise. crowd will be mostly tourists going to games because they bought a cheap package or got a comp through a casino. id go see maybe 4-5 games a year, id rather watch the marquee games of the day on tv. i think a nhl or nba sputters out here, theres just not the demand for it. i could be wrong though. the crowds at the games will be dead as fukk also, because it will be mostly people apathetic to the local team, and either rooting for neither squad or the team they are playingmeh transplants from around the country and canada pay hundreds while there down there for shows. I think it will work, especially the gambling aspect. Go lay 100 on your team then go watch them play live andall game.
Let em go, cities should never have to pay for useless amenities
I didn't shed one tear when the Sonics moved. That arena was empty for yearsThe way Seattle lost their team sucked, but it doesn't solve anything by taking another fanbase's team. It just makes one fanbase happy and another one distraught.
And it's not like Seattle was some ultimate loyal fanbase
2007-08: 28th in attendance (Durant on the roster)
2006-07: 25th in attendance (Ray Allen & Rashard Lewis on the roster)
2005-06: 23rd in attendance (See above)
2004-05: 21st in attendance (Mind you they were a playoff team this year)
2003-04: 23rd in attendance
2002-03: 20th in attendance
2001-02: 21st in attendance
Like I said, it sucked the way they lost their team, but they aren't entitled to take any other city's team from them
