The way Seattle lost their team sucked, but it doesn't solve anything by taking another fanbase's team. It just makes one fanbase happy and another one distraught.

And it's not like Seattle was some ultimate loyal fanbase

2007-08: 28th in attendance (Durant on the roster)
2006-07: 25th in attendance (Ray Allen & Rashard Lewis on the roster)
2005-06: 23rd in attendance (See above)
2004-05: 21st in attendance (Mind you they were a playoff team this year)
2003-04: 23rd in attendance

2001-02: 21st in attendance

from living here, few cities love "basketball" as much as seattle that I've seen nationwide. Their affinity for the sonics can be gauged in many ways but breh, basketball is the most played sport here easily and is the king sport here for the youth. its a basketball town
