Seattles not getting a team back their simply gonna be pawns in cities looking for new arenas

seattle fans have to come to grips with this. If the sacramento deal didn't prove it, idk what will. Seattle is the ultimate leverage for a team owner trying to get $200-400 million from a broke city.Seattles not getting a team back their simply gonna be pawns in cities looking for new arenas

.....I'd like to see the Bucks get rejected. What you have is a rich team owner wanting the state and local citizens to take on an extra tax so that they can fund a new arena. If he doesn't get it, then he's going to move elsewhere where the local citizens decide to take on a tax for a new arena. That citizens of that city will get screwed with the new tax. If the revenue isn't enough, they will have to increase the tax.
Sacramento Kings owner was threatening to leave and shopped around. Cities wanted an NBA team but they would have had to foot a huge bill for a new arena. Cities who were still reeling in from economic housing boom crash of 2008 were leary of taking on a huge long-term debt.
These owners are fat cats with tons of cash, and trying to leverage their clout. The teams bring in some revenue to the local businesses, but it's not spread equally. Some restaurants and gas stations and hotels will benefit while others won't. There's going to be another economic crash, like 2008. The small market teams in weak economies will fold. The big city teams or strong market teams will survive. It's going to be a shrinking on the NBA. Leftovers will move to China or Europe to play pro ball unless those leagues shrink too. It might be a global catastrophe though so you might be seeing a second string player selling cars at a dealership.
