Living in a van and working in a grocery store sounds pretty fukking miserable. Won't do much to help with your student debt either. fukk that.
Yeah that is definitely extreme. That's why I hate all the extreme examples because people start feeling that they have to go ALL the way with it.

Helping others
Wealth could make the world a better place with ease
If people weren't greedy it would solve alot of problems
You can use a million dollars to help people or buy a car the choice is yours

I am actually in agreeance with the whole premise that "wealth" could make the world a better place. What if a group 10 billionaires made it their personal mission to provide clean water amd energy through new technology? This seems too feasible, right? The world has plenty of billionaires, why do people still lack the basic necessities for survival?
The answer is egotism and greed. Unfortunately most of those with wealth are too consumed with making bigger profits than truly making radical changes for good in the world. And they probably would have never became billionaires without this mindset. It takes true spirituality to become selfless. Do you see the trap here? The notion that the wealthy ought to use their wealth for the common good is quite counter intuitive to the agenda and character of most wealthy people to begin with.

The guy working in the grocery store is probably the best video and comfortably achievable out of the bunch IMO if you are in that situation (no kids, wife etc)

Not many want to live in a van and I don't care what kind of spin they want to put on it. As creatures we all like to have a stable "base". Not a platform that is easily transportable on wheels.

I just feel you should be self sufficient
Begging and borrowing everything from others is not the wave
Its not too far from preachers who do the same just a lower level version of it

That is just a cultural notion. Here, we associate beggars with laziness. In other parts of the world (such as ancient India) beggars were often treated with high regard. Those who fully renounced the world and lived their lives on the edge were seen as courageous and mystical.

I challenge you to question everything you firmly believe and ask whether it is grounded in absolute truth or cultural belief.

Stable base ? If that was the case we would all be in Africa right now because the ancients would of never left and explored the world.

Breh, don't confuse the two. Sure we like to explore new surroundings. But there is a reason people like staying in hotel rooms and stable platforms as opposed to something that can be picked up and moved.

You want a place to clean yourself, cook for yourself and have more security etc. These things become increasingly difficult in a fukking vehicle. Yeah, maybe an RV, but the maintenance required is something people don't really want to put up with.

I'd rather live in a hut before I live in a goddamn GMC.

People who want a stable base don't travel because traveling comes with all types of difficulties that one doesn't know what to predict and plan for hence they stay in their stable base.

And everything you said are meant for children. Children need security to know they have somewhere to eat, wash themselves, etc but when you grow up meaning older souls you let life come to you instead of trying to control everything.

i get what @MarloStanfield is saying but not everyone has to live broke and homeless to reach that next level , everyones path is different, some people can bend the material world to their advantage, you living that homeless life is your journey

all im saying is , alot of the greats didnt have to be homeless , see keanu reeves for example , even leonardo da vinci is an example of being able to use his divine energy and power

so yeah dont follow anyones path but your own, just cause a coli poster can make it in the wild, doesn't mean that's your path

also time traveling to the past and future isnt a bad thing, me personally can get a lot of gems going back in my thoughts or thinking way ahead :ehh:

working hard and giving it away to a beggar is not for me
my work going to a random person is something i dont believe in especially if I feel they are not in need

I wouldn't live in an RV but I hate having a cluttered room

Once I move out ideally all I'd have in my room is a bed frame, a drawer, a nightstand and my computer

What were the names of the two developing countries? Most people don't move to other countries when they hit hard times in this country. Did you guys have any ties to those countries?

Just to stay anonymous, one country was in Asia and the other was in Africa. We had 0 ties to either place. Here's the gist of it:

*Husband and I got married real young. Got our first place together. It was an apartment, nice and simple. We were happy.:smugbiden:

*We both got 'good' jobs and starting to make a little money. Given I didn't feel too good about my station in life (looking on FB at people I knew from HS and college and comparing myself to then), I convinced my husband we needed a damn house. So, not even a year into our apartment lease and our new jobs, we broke our lease and bought a 4b/2ba house with a pool:snoop:

*Fast forward a couple of years - we were in over our heads in credit card debt, car note debt and debt from other loans. This was all incurred from trying to keep up with the Joneses. :mjcry:

*Jan 2007, one afternoon, I talked to a random lady at a sports bar who said something to me that changed my life when I told her what I was going thru. She suggested I file bankruptcy and just start over. Being credit conscious, I thought she was crazy. But after taking a solid week to think about it, I saw she made sense. We had no kids to take care of (thus, no reason to fight to keep that big ass house) and every cent we were earning at that point was just going to pay down debt, including a house we were now upside down in. We could take a loss then and just get our shyt together.

*Some time after, we made the decision to just let all the shyt just go. At the time, we both worked, and our income together was probably $65k, a bit more maybe. We both hated our jobs as well because we never saw each other.

*Again, another random lady I met at my job suggested I come with her to teach English in China. Given everything that was happening, I gave it serious thought and followed up with a resume, but the school didn't want me. That seed had been planted, though, and I decided to find a place where I could teach English abroad. Talked to my husband about it, and he was game to go, as long as there was a plan in place.

*The short of it is I quit my job that summer (husband did the same), got trained to teach ESL, met another random lady at church who gave me a job teaching ESL locally until I got a job in Asia, and by then, our house was in foreclosure. This is what we had been anticipating, and the timing all lined up. So, we sold everything we had left and moved to Asia a week after Thanksgiving.

So, I had a job there, and that was how we lived. It was nothing like the people in the videos who can save $$$$$ while living here in the US and take it with them and just travel without worry. We still lived paycheck to paycheck there. I made the equivalent of $1200-$1500USD each month there, and though that isn't shyt here, it was good for the two of us in Asia. We learned how to live with less, on cash only and on one check each month. I got financial discipline living there my ass never had living in the States. I'm thankful for the experience, too, because those habits got ingrained before we started a family, and our kids didn't have to suffer from the fukkery of our mistakes. They are now benefiting from what we learned. I could tell you more, but I feel like I've been talking enough for now, lol.

Oh, after living in Asia for 1.5 years, we moved to Africa for another year, did the same thing, and then came on home.
