Your husband is a lucky man
I'm the lucky one, actually. I

was a major cause of the financial fukkery we suffered the first few years of our marriage. Looking back, he honestly could have just thrown up the deuces and went about his way. Unfortunately, we were both ended up paying from my decisions.

The fact that he was even game to not only chuck everything, say lets start over and do this shyt in another country clear across the world made me realize how blessed I was to be with him.

I might get negged for this comment, but, honestly, in our life, we don't know any brehs and sistahs who are just going to do up and even be down to try that even; as someone alluded to earlier in this thread, this seems to be something with white people.

Even in all the time we kept telling our family what our plan was, they thought we were bullshytting until we actually left.

Having that experience with him let me know, at the very least, if I had to get the hell out of dodge to a place where I knew no one, I could do it. The bigger lesson, though, was that I would be okay if I just decided to let all my material shyt go because you can get it all back (if you want it). It's the relationships you have and the lessons you learn that have the true value.

Why did you come back?
Husband wanted to. Unless you spoke the local language or worked in a highly specialized field (or taught English), it was hard to just up and get a job abroad. He got tired of not working, understandably.

i get what @MarloStanfield is saying but not everyone has to live broke and homeless to reach that next level , everyones path is different, some people can bend the material world to their advantage, you living that homeless life is your journey

all im saying is , alot of the greats didnt have to be homeless , see keanu reeves for example , even leonardo da vinci is an example of being able to use his divine energy and power

so yeah dont follow anyones path but your own, just cause a coli poster can make it in the wild, doesn't mean that's your path

also time traveling to the past and future isnt a bad thing, me personally can get a lot of gems going back in my thoughts or thinking way ahead :ehh:

Enlightment comes in many levels. I chose the Budda path or shall I say it chose me. Basically I could live a rich life but I gave it up to be around the real struggle and spread knowledge and wisdom, I have no need for luxuries of life

That isn't to say you can't be enlightened and not be rich, but just as Jesus said seek the kingdom of Heaven first than money. Difference with an enlightened person who has money he does for the world instead of himself and he isn't attached to the money so it don't control him.

My situation is an extreme one but that's just my destiny to live this way, but enlightment comes in many levels. I'm just really giving others a different perspective on being homeless

What I look like working retail after all that bullshyt white folk put me thru :martin:

Imma live as lavish and excessive as I can afford.
Don't miss the point breh!

Minimalism isn't about working some crap retail job or living in a car.

It's about not having excessive things. Like being one man living in a mansion for instance. Do you need 10 rooms, 8 bathrooms, a huge light bill, as well as maintenance on a plethora of things within the living quarters?.. It can be more stress than pleasure.
Those expenses could fund travels and so much more.

I always say experiences are greater than materials. But that's what minimalism is actually about. Trying to not have more than what's necessary.
