2010 1.50%
2011 3.00%

At my job, the base pay increase is 2.5% per year (not including bonuses).

The average is anywhere from 4.6% on the high end and an overall average of 2.7%.

A lot of companies tie pay increases into performance and profit/loss.

Customer service always paid well. Those jobs are plentiful and doesn't require much skill neither..

Get those jobs, then search around from there.. Its better than searching while working at McDonalds..

One good way to not need a federal minimum wage is if businesses raise wages themselves...

You wanna try to keep people, raise wages/benefits.

You wanna try to lose people, don't raise wages/benefits.

customer service - it depends on what industry and what type of customer service jobs you're talking about. Call Center jobs for example, are outsourced instate, out of state and overseas.

Low wage, and 1099 sales jobs are plentiful.

15 bucks an hour in New York is pure poverty.

15 bucks an hour in north Carolina, outside of Charlotte, will allow you to rent a 2 bedroom apartment and actually have money left over to do things.

California has a very real housing crisis. People are shytting in the streets of san Francisco.

New york is right on the edge of being unaffordable to anyone but the financial elite.

Not all warehouse jobs are robotic because thats a big company need.. You moving units, then its worth the investment to go fully automated.. But most common warehouses still use humans.
So for those locations that its available in, get in where you fit in.. And if its not, figure out a way to go to where the work is, or start a 1099 gig..

No matter what, you gotta stay in the mix..

No matter what, you gotta stay in the mix..

Robotic in you do the same task over and over again.

At Amazon, they have devices that monitor your movement (in some cases steps) throughout your entire shift.

I worked in a Walmart warehouse and some of the positions were back breaking.

A lot of those jobs wont go fully automated because some things still require humans.

But don't think that once the technology is perfected, a company won't try to go that route.

If you have 4 people in a room with 1 dollar each and 1 billionaire worth 2 billion, the average net worth of that room is 400 million dollars. Which sounds nice but doesn't mean jack shyt to the 4 other people with a buck in their pocket.

Every blue state I see is full of millionaires living next to people who "serve" them.

The same people who say we need to import illegal immigrants and screw them over money wise to "serve" "us", i.e clean our toilets and work our fields.

Sounds a lot like a feudal slaveryish type system to me.

Now take rich white people and their school districts out of the equation. How are black people doing in those liberal enclaves?

We spend the equivalent of 87000 per poor family in social programs and public assistance. It would be cheaper and more efficient to just give every poor family 40 or 50 thousand dollars. But then politicians wouldn't have all those high 5, 6 figure jobs to reward their cronies.

It's already been shown on here that the idea of having to show id to vote being racist is racist in and of itself. Its assuming black people are too poor or stupid to obtain proper identification (20 bucks)
