Established education tangibles being erased by rethugs in systematic fashion. Attacked affirmative admissions. Ended it. Now targeting funds that keep HBcU's alive. In a state where rethugs have refused to abide by the order to redraw voting maps.

Decrease in high school graduation rates while southern states implement child work laws. I'm not gonna deny part of this is the south seemingly devolving back to what it was (white men and black men discarding education for physical labor) but it's still ugly.
so they say the drop in high school graduation rates is fueling lower college enrollment. so the answer is to close colleges ... another state might say "damn we need to tackle these high school graduation rates."

They def not touching Ole Miss or Miss State. I also have to think they wouldn’t touch Jackson or Alcorn. All hell would break loose.
Education starts and fails in the home. That's a brutal inescapable reality. Nobody can stop a determined mind. Black people educated themselves under thread of death. Smuggled knowledge like contraband.
Now you can't get some people to care about or prioritize learning. What changed is the value for it.. you can learn whatever you want to online today. Where is the motivation. Where is the dedication? Nobody can stop a willing mind. The strategy needs to shift to start catering to kids who want to learn. Those that don't need to be out the way.
