I was disappointed when they broke up Run TMC. They were really fun to watch, they had upset the Spurs in the first round before losing to the Lakers. After stealing one in LA, they couldn’t close out the close games and got eliminated in 5.
The game they did win is a great watch. Mullin & Magic going nuts, Tim with the Utep 2-Step.
I liked Billy Owens, he had a solid rookie season and did the point forward role at times, but he never improved after that. He peaked early, while Mitch was one of the best guards of the 90s.

Yeah, they lost to Chicago in the finals and then he announced he had HIV in the preseason a few months later.
Magic was still probably the second best player in the league (he was 2nd in MVP voting to MJ and led LA to the finals) when he retired the first time.

Trading Mitch away for Owens was bad. Trading Webber away then jumping ship a year later though
Could have theoretically had TMC plus Sprewell and Webber, with Sarunas off the bench
