Its probably a bit much going on for a "casual" system. If it had better graphics and some hot 1st party games then it would have done much better.


Also nintendo needs to keep the nintendo name in there products.

I don't mind the gamepad at all. I actually think its pretty dope. What's stupid is going through a box of wii motes and nunchucks to play the simplest of games. I don't think Nintendo realizes how irritating that is. The system was built with couch 4 players in mind, yet you have to break out all kinds of wired controllers and sit perfectly in front of the tv to play effectively. Then you have serious games like smash bros that are better play on a regular controller which opens up a slew of other crap you have to hook up to play.

The fukkin sensor bar of my wii u is still in the box. I hate I cant turn off the gamepad completely for games that dont make me use or when im playin on the tv.

It's unfortunate that a system like this has some great 1st party games on it but the fault lies with Nintendo.

Mario and Zelda don't sell hardware like they used to. Add that to the fact that the most popular 3rd party games didnt even come to Wii u, and its not a surprise tge system failed.

Nintendo needs some new IP and a new strategy for home consoles.

If people are aware of the controller I'm surprised. When it first came out people were barely are aware of what a Wii U is or that it was even out. Their marketing was non-existant, there were no killer apps, and there aren't enough games to keep people talking. The 3DS took time to catch on too because people thought it was just some sidegrade version of the DS which isn't necessary.

They need to go back to renaming systems with a brand new name, advertise and have Zelda and Mario available on release day. You start running commercials in 2016 advertising that Zelda, Mario and a new Metroid are coming out December 2016 on the new system it will sell WAY better than Wii U did. Plus they gotta get with the times and put some decent hardware in the damn system.
