MJ gotta be thankful for havin pippen too
I love scottie

But this is very debatable.

You would have to had been around to realize how much MJ was carrying those bulls teams, especially in the playoffs. Pippen was a great utility guy, but he was not a 2nd fiddle in the sense kobe was to shaq or McHale was to bird.

And MJ and Phil held the front office up on 2 potential pippen deals. So here is the question.

1 deal confirmed on the table was pippen to Seattle for Shawn Kemp and Ricky pierce, in 1994, that Seattle back out of on draft night. Rumor has it MJ put the call in on not trading pippen , and if he got dealt to Seattle MJ would have joined the knicks. But let's say MJ comes back to the bulls to play with Kemp and pierce, or joined the knicks. Does he win a title without pippen? I say in both scenarios , jordan def still wins a title

Or , in 1997 the bulls were heavily considering rebuilding, and had a package on the table with boston to send boston pippen for their 3rd and 6th pick and antoine walker. Jordan and Phil killed that deal. But let's say jordan and Phil ok the deal. Bulls were looking hard at Keith van horn (who went 2nd) Ron mercer and Tracy mcgrady. So they likely would have taken mercer and mcgrady. This one is shaky because those 2 were so young. Could jordan have won a title with them, idk.

All I'm saying a lot of scenarios play out where jordan would still win a title. For pippen we saw what he was without jordan. Just saying.

Right, he came back in 95. Which is why I gave both scenarios of jordan return, going back to the bulls to play with Kemp and pierce and possibly rodman, or joining the knicks. In both scenarios, in 95, 96 97 98 I think MJ still win a couple of titles. Just my opinion

But he retired in 93...this sounds like them conspiracy theories of Jordan being pressed into "retirement" are true and he knew he was returning.

all the other ones i agree but what were these tough squads MJ had to deal with outside the Pistons.

The 90s Knicks were the best and toughest defensive team in the NBA
93' Suns were lethal
92' Blazers were amongst the best teams in history not to win a Finals
Reggie's Pacers (took the Bulls to Game 7 in the ECF)
Shaq & Penny's Magic
Hardaway/Alonzo's Heat
Payton/Kemp's Sonics
Malone/Stockton Jazz

come on now. LeBron is going through Lance Stephenson, Joakim Noah and Al Horford every year in the East.. and then when he faces a challenge in the West.. he's 3-5 in the Finals:yeshrug:

Why do you pretend like it’s all one man’s fault or credit that a team wins or loses a championship?

Well, great point.

Man: kobe, Lebron, Duncan

21 Finals appearances since 1999.
13 Championships

Team: Nets, Grizzlies, Hornets, Raptors, Jazz, Suns, Clippers, Nuggets, Pacers, Timberwolves, Pelicans

0 NBA Championships IN EVER.

Basketball is less of a team sport than baseball and football. In basketball one player can score 81 points and lead his team to a comeback victory. No other sports league offers that.

Preted as if you didn’t know basketball was a superstars league brehs. :mjlol:

What did he say that was wrong?

Bron will likely surpass Jordan in almost all major statistical categories when hes done playing. Hes a better all around player in a given game, he can play and guard all 5 positions.

But Jordan is a better WINNER than Bron will ever be. Hes a better closer. Hes has a killer instinct Bron doesnt have.
