Good for people without dedicated streaming options. I have a Chromecast, but Sony is still lame for not allowing like...any streaming options for PS4.

I'd probably prefer my chromecast + plex anyways, but more options >>> less options.

mkv isn't really a media format as much as its a container for multiple files. it lets you have multiple audio files and video files in the same single file.
