This. And it wasn't supposed to be Royce in there to begin with, Rickson was going to be the one that they showcased. They put Royce in the tournaments because he was so small that his Jiu-Jitsu would look better when he beat people.

To add they made sure that the match ups were favorable to Royce seeing as that this was suppose to be a showcase for the best martial arts style but the only submission grappler other then royce on UFC 1 was Ken Shamrock who was choked out by the Gi and had no clue wtf happen lol.

They knew better then to let a black belt Judoka in the tourny because it would make Gracie JJ look bad being that Royce was actually the worst out of the brothers

Neither will a GSP/Silva fight. Actually, a Jones/Silva fight is more possible than a GSP/Silva fight by dint of actually being plausible on a weight class level. What weight are they going to fight at? Silva isn't cutting a single pound below 185 and GSP walks at around 193 or so MAX. It'd be a total size mismatch. There's just no point.

silva is prob my favorite mma fighter so i have to go with him. The thing about him is that dude is a smart and clever fighter. He's great at getting other fighters off their game and forcing them to strike; where nobody is really at his level in the ufc. The thing about jones is that dude really doesnt have any power; and for as tall as he is; his muay thai is trash; which is where silva has the advantage. I'll give the edge to speed to jones along with wrestling. But silva's takedown defense is great and he's better at submissions. I'll give the edge to silva at this time.

Gsp hasn't fought in like 2 years. If he was in fighting shape he may have had a chance but not now especially now. Plus he would have to use his wrestling to stop silva which we see silva can defend really well now... Bones against silva? That bones reach is stupid man... But silva may just have to go in and attack quickly that's the only way I can see him winning.
