Trading Zeke not an option I'm sorry. Just pay him, this team window to win is right now. Give him a 4 year deal and be done with it. We've seen what happens to this team (in particular dak) when he sits. I dont wanna see it. I dont wanna hear about it. I dont wanna experience it .:unimpressed:

We've entered the window where we are being punished for drafting well.

All the OL
Tank
Jaylon and LVE
Byron
Zeke and Dak
Gallup in a couple years. Amari now (trade, but still)

We saw it happen to OKC Thunder in basketball and Seahawks after their 2014 SB.

Only reason NE was able to keep it together was cause Brady took discounts and they replace everyone around him and their coaching and preparation is 5 years ahead of everyone at all times.

PIT and IND had QBs that held it down for 10-15 years. Same with SD and NO. GB can barely stay afloat with Rodgers and decent pieces.

We got like 2 years and then we're going to be fukked so hard.

I wont say punished, but I will say this is what happens when a team drafts well and does not capitalize from it. I primarily blame the coaching, the talent is/was here.

I'm okay with salary cap. But they should make it like NBA where you're allowed to go over the cap to retain your own guys.

NFL with the hard cap is brutal. Main reason why bum QBs make 25+ a year and they make the other 52 guys squeeze in.

Just soft cap it with similar tax penalties like NBA and make it so you can go over to retain your guys.

But then the dikkhead owners would just end up having to spend more money...

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Well you should thank Jerruh for that. :stopitslime:

He was chief champion for the salary cap. :stopitslime:

He should've reupped with Dak last year. He probably could've signed him for 20 million a year. The problem is he waited until Philly locked up Wentz.

Then there's the offensive coordinator. If you got your quarterback running a booty offense, it's going to make him look bad at times.

Then there's the Amari trade.

Dallas added Cooper like they already paid Dak and Zeke. :snoop: knowing damn well they are going to have to pay Cooper as well. They would've been better off riding out Dez at a cheaper rate. They could've had Dez take a pay cut and paid Dak last year.

The problem is bad contracts and bad decisions by General Managers are allowed to set the market.

But as far as solutions go, they should either

A. Allow the franchise tag to not be included in the salary cap or
B. Keep the QB salary separate from the salary cap.

If you up that thread, @*DalMem* about to change his avi to Myles Jack and go to war with everyone in here

Up the 2018 draft thread and I'm one of the few that was happy with the drafting of Pro Bowl Rookie Linebacker LVE. :wow:

It was a lot of Sorry CAC this and Soft CAC that. :sas2:

Bobby Carpenter 2.0 :sas2:
