I just heard the story. And it sounded like I expected. They was hanging out. It was him, pac, Buntry, and mob at Suge house. He said mob was drunk.

Again, I’m inclined to believe Suge is exaggerating a true story. He didn’t even say he ‘beat’ him or knocked him out. Probably horseplay and Pac got the best of him. Y’all are talking like they were strangers. They all knew each other and probably fought ‘rough’

2 things lead me to my conclusion:

1- Mob has always disliked Pac in his interviews
2- Pac shouted out the entire MOB inner circle but not James

So Suge gassing it, and nggas takin it to mean more than it was. It’s not even that serious but I’d bet money something happened

Suge was everything those guys were outside of selling dope. He wanted to extort Puff but those guys didn’t? They tried to extort Pac, but not Puff? Seems you’re applying selective criteria to fit a narrative. BTW, managing an artist can be a form of extortion

Pac was not a high level exec, he was and up and coming entertainer. Other than that, Puff was very connected in NY, street wise and business wise. I am selective based on the circumstances. You are acting like everyone is the same person and circumstances don’t exist.

And Suge wanting to extort Puff just sounds weird. Why would a big LA exec - who stays in LA, has no will to do anything in NY and is never in NY - want to extort a more connected guy thousands of miles away? Extorting someone means that you have a business relationship with them and they had none.

And Suge paid people to be the boss, Henchman and them earned their “stripes” in the streets. While those guys wanted to downplay their streetness, Suge wanted to exaggerate his. Very different characters. They were career criminals, Suge was a big entertainment bodyguard who leveled up through the entertainment industry and then paid money to live out his childhood dreams.
