However you feel about Pitchfork they almost never give good reviews to “comfort food” albums i.e. established acts feeding their fans exactly what they want.
As good “comfort food” is the best case scenario for a Mobb album in 2025 I find the actual words of the review to be heartening and If anything increase my anticipation.
man its good or bad music, just because an artist goes left doesnt always mean its better

Word, they got a lot of unwarranted hate for signing with G Unit and I don't even like G Unit. They kept the music the same and just added G Unit features. Niqqa just assumed it was a move for $ and not art.

The Pitchfork review was weird. They said that the album "mostly sounds a retread of the pair's glory days" as if it could sound like anything else? One half of the group is fukking gone lol.

What the fukk else is it supposed to sound like? Stupid review. It actually read as if the writer liked the album, but their scores are always low.

They also docked points saying that the Clipse feature was forced and unnatural. Reviewer smoking dust. Clipse sounded so natural with Mobb, it didn't sound like a feature. nikkas sounded like one group, lol.

I mean...they gave the Clipse album a 6.5. I wouldn't look to them for any insight on rap outside of southern mixtapes and hoe rap which gets auto 7s. Vet rap auto gets 6 point something.
