One of the best takes in this thread - probably the best take tbh. The reason why Clipse and now Mobb are getting the plaudits is because they went back to the essence and pinnacle of what made us fans of them and hail them up as legends. The production is a big part of that - Pharrell knows better than anyone how to produce Clipse, Hav and ALC know better than anyone how to produce Mobb.

People saying RZA ain’t the same RZA - they were saying the same thing about Pharrell and Havoc before these projects dropped. RZA is busy as fukk but so is Pharrell - I bet if RZA was able to lock into a project with Rae and Ghost like Pharrell did with Clipse for the past couple of years (more likely Ghost), they would’ve been able to drop something comparable to the Clipse and Mobb albums.

Pos rep.

Look at the beats that Rae and Ghost let RZA waste on this random Japanese rapper:

Ghost would’ve killed all these :snoop:

Awich is not a random rapper, she put in work and paid dues.

With that said, yes I really do not understand why the Wu cats and Rza cannot lock in for solo's anymore :to:

I could maybe see the phase 1 cats thinking they're never going to top those albums, so why bother - but NO SAID DATE showed that having Rza involved can work Magic, so why Deck and U aren't knocking on his door is beyond me.

Though U wrote a whole damn book calling Rza a nerd so I could see them not wanting to be the in the same room dolo.

Maybe they just don’t like RZA anymore or RZA just don’t like them anymore. RZA has frankly seemed fed up with the Wu as a whole for awhile now. He understands that its his biggest legacy so he won’t outright shyt on them but context clues suggest he doesn’t really want to fukk with them on a business tip and music IS business. He announced the Final Chamber tour would be the last one they do as a group, which seemed to surprise both Rae and Ghost. He didn’t want to be involved in Rae’s plans for a potential Wu-Tang film, instead preferring to go the TV route (the right decision in my opinion) and it just seems like he’s had enough of them second-guessing his decisions and publicly disrespecting him.
