Big facts man. I love them alc and Freddie albums and even tho Freddie is flowing, the entire thing is so negative and embarrassing to bang out loud
someone finally said it
I do low key agree with this. I play music at my gym a lot and there’s no kids allowed so obviously I can play whatever I want. But it’s men and women together and I’ve had a hard time playing this new album up here. It’s just so flagrant on the sex bars. Just saw an interview where he said he was going through a lot with women while recording this album.

It’s Freddie’s most toxic sounding album period. Alfredo 1 wasn’t nearly as wild on the lyrics.

Freddie’s flow is amazing though and he used to make more dynamic songs back in the day.

Taj Mahal is dope but Against The World is the superior song
I like that they don't sound the same. Frankly, Against the World sounds unlike a lot of Mobb's music, but also familiar and vintage at the same time. Truly a perfect song to put on an album called Infinite, because that's how it sounds. Timeless.

Taj Mahal sounds more like the type of Mobb we know. Dark. Heavy. HNIC 2 era vibes. It reminds me a lot of the shyt P did with Sid Roams, and I can picture P driving around the city at night bumping it with the top down like back in the day.
This is a classic old youtube gem. RIP Bandana P :wow:

Damn someone just put me onto this.

Are any of these verses gonna actually be unheard or what?

Absolutely. There will definitely be unheard P verses on the album, but they also aren't using anything that's been released officially. SOme songs like Night Life were leaked and released.

I appreciate that they aren't keeping things off the table just because they might be on youtube with only 3,000 views in 15 years. I feel like they're actually crafting the best album possible and not refusing to use a perfect fitting verse here or there, just because the biggest Mobb Stans on YouTube might've heard it already a few times.

Edit: For what it's worth you never would've known if no one sent you this Night Life song. Now you just have 2 brand new P joints you never heard to rock with. That's a win/win scenario :wow:

I'm a Mobb Stan and I forgot about Night Life entirely, and I know a lot of Mobb heads never even heard it.

Nah that's a fair point I never heard both verses before now, I'm not mad at it. The against the world verse worked in context with this album so perfectly that they had to use it.

It's got me wondering just how many unreleased P verses there actually is. Is every track gonna be one verse each? Are they still holding onto hegelian dialect pt 3?

There's definitely a lot of unreleased P verses. Hav said that ALC has a ton on his hard drive, and during Covid ALC played a lot of unreleased P songs on Instagram Live when everyone was on lockdown during 2020.

The main issue that I haven't seen mentioned yet is that most of what P was recording with ALC and friends around the time of his passing doesn't fit Mobb Deep's sound. P's Hegelian Dialectic songs are about spirituality, philosophy, the government, conspiracies, and they just don't sound like Mobb Deep songs. You can't just throw Havoc on there and have them sound like Mobb tracks. I imagine that's why Hav and Alc also chose to dig around for some earlier 2010's and even late 2000's unreleased material to build around.

I do think most of the Infinite songs are gonna be one verse each, just looking at the track lengths. Most of the songs on this new album are less than 4 mins, which doesn't leave a lot of room for more than 1 verse each from P and Hav.

I don't think Hegelian Part 3 ever drops. I heard that getting Part 2 replayed (they had a ton of sample clearance problems) was a long process, and the executive producer said it was a nightmare experience. I don't even know if Part 3 was finished, and I don't think anyone wants to try and finish it right now.

Yeah I remember hearing them lockdown joints on alcs dj mixes, they sounded crazy.

It's a shame if we don't hear hegelian dialect 3... Even the 2nd joint I didn't really fukk with like that. I was hoping for something more similar to the first one.

The shyt he was saying on that album was so crazy, I felt we needed more... P was really onto something with that content of spitting, I wish we could just get one more album of that...

HD was a personal classic for me.

Hard agree on all this. HD1 is a personal classic for me too. I also didn't love HD2, which I hate to say. But it was just so obvious to my ears that it wasn't how it sounded when it was first recorded. It just didn't feel like the actual album that P made. And I could never get over that part.

My brother, who is the most asinine rap critic I know, always makes me laugh because he downgrades Shook Ones because Hav rhymes "life" with "life" right out the gate on his verse lol.
I'm a moron bro. I never even realized that or thought about it :snoop:

It doesn't downgrade the song for me, but I just feel dumb for never noticing that

P was a monster period, but his peak IMO was on Noyd’s first album/EP, his best verses are his features on there. It was a perfect blend of his style on the Infamous and HOE.

I didn't discover that album until I read P's biography. With P all over the album and half of it produced by Hav, both being at their peak in the middle of Infamous and HOE, it's a hidden gem. Doesn't get talked about enough.

If i’m not mistaken, either Hav or Alchemist indicated that they took a LOT of the verses meant for Hegelian Part 3 and repurposed them for Infinite, so Hegelian Part 3 is most likely never happening.

Interesting. I’m kind of surprised at that but that’s dope. Is there an interview or anything you know off head with them about this?
