I didn't discover that album until I read P's biography. With P all over the album and half of it produced by Hav, both being at their peak in the middle of Infamous and HOE, it's a hidden gem. Doesn't get talked about enough.
Noyd first album is stupid hard and honestly his second one called Only The Strong from 2003 is slept on as well. It’s obviously not as good as the first, but in the overall Mobb Deep world, it’s one of the most underrated projects from them and their crew.

Noyd is an underrated rapper. A lot of people put their homies on and they just aren’t that dope. Noyd is good. Especially on features. A lot of memorable guest verses.

"The dumb are mostly intrigued by the drum":troll:

I have no problem with drumless beats if the sample doesn't need them. I don't like when it's just a loop that sounds empty without drums.
That masta killa line always stuck with me. It comes into my head when people start over rating shyt that's mid to me... 808s have dudes thinking something is way crazier than it is..

I get it.. The bass has people hyped.

I told myself I wasn’t gonna listen to anymore singles until the album. But I failed.

This shyt so fukkin flames.

Mobb deep is the greatest rapping duo of all time. Queens stand up

Going back to the HOE and infamous debate. I truly believe Infamous top 5 album of all time and HOE is a top 20ish album of all time.

I think both of them were technically sharper on some emcee shyt on HOE, by a little bit. Not on subject matter, but just on rhyming abilities and peak level shyt talking. In my mind, HOE takes the "Mobb Deep Stereotype" and turns it up to 11. Like, if you just think of Shook Ones 2 and Survival of the Fittest...the ultra grimy shyt, and you make an album full of shyt like that...

It's less well-rounded. There aren't concept joints like Take Away the Pain, or as many storytelling joints like Temp Rising, etc (although More Trife Life story is fire).

It just comes down to preference. I absolutely get why some people prefer it. I think The Infamous is a better album overall, but there really has never been an album like HOE before or since it came out, and it's just unrelenting and oppressively dark the entire time, and never lets you come up for air. I do think Hav was better as a producer on HOE as well, even if some of the individual beats on The Infamous are better. His bag of tricks was deeper, and he has some stupidly creative flips on HOE, and it was all him, and not him sharing duties with Q-Tip on the album.

Sounds left field but I think P was at his best on Murda Muzik

I like that they don't sound the same. Frankly, Against the World sounds unlike a lot of Mobb's music, but also familiar and vintage at the same time. Truly a perfect song to put on an album called Infinite, because that's how it sounds. Timeless.

Taj Mahal sounds more like the type of Mobb we know. Dark. Heavy. HNIC 2 era vibes. It reminds me a lot of the shyt P did with Sid Roams, and I can picture P driving around the city at night bumping it with the top down like back in the day.
This is a classic old youtube gem. RIP Bandana P :wow:

What album is this on?

Honestly Noyds verse on "Give Up The Goods" is akin to AZ on "Lifes a bytch" to me, it's that good and catches you straight away.

His work with Alc in the 2000s was all fire as well. He always seemed to have some label issues going on unfortunately.

No group/duo/trio have a 3 album run like Mobb Deep had (Infamous, HOE, & Murda Muzik)

If i’m not mistaken, either Hav or Alchemist indicated that they took a LOT of the verses meant for Hegelian Part 3 and repurposed them for Infinite, so Hegelian Part 3 is most likely never happening.

I had posted a Complex article a while back......Prodigy's engineer (Joe The Engine Ear) said Hegelian Dialectic 3 is already completed and the samples have been cleared. Its up to the estate to approve a release.
