The reason I’m optimistic this album
will be a good posthumous release is because they’ve really taken their time with crafting it.

Could’ve easily rushed it & dropped it few years after P passed away.

first off, it's on :ahh: label, and he knew P very well. with nas, havoc, and prodigy having a say over this project, it'd literally be impossible to fukk it up. this isn't like :takedat: taking the bullshyt scraps of biggie and putting out :trash: albums time and time again for a quick cash grab. this album won't sell big, so it's not for the money. they doing it out of respect for P.

Agreed. I can't think of three better people to make this happen than Havoc, Alc, and Nas. And I'm glad Noyd is on the album plus will tour with Havoc for it. That's a good look. Would have been cool for Q-Tip to peep in for a verse or beat too but besides that I can't think of anything else I'd want as a fan. And the singles are strong as fukk. Just watched the Against The World vid...I hadn't listened to the song in awhile since I hate over-listening to singles and man. That shyt is amazing. And of course Taj Mahal is amazing.

Why wouldn’t P’s estate want him on the album? Is it because of Lake or some other reason?

Mega and P didn’t have the BEST relationship after P’s book came out. Mega basically said that Prodigy lied about them ever having had a battle and some other stuff. There was also some drama surrounding P’s mural getting defaced in QB and how Mega flip flopped on his stance once he found out it was Sherm The Worm’s people who were the ones responsible.

Which is why I respect Mega not being on the album, and I respect Mega's statement of support. I don't like posthumous records where a bunch of dudes who had beef with the dead artist get slapped on the album. Or artists they didn't fukk with. They had issues...if P was alive it's pretty safe to assume Mega still wouldn't be on the album lol. It's fine. Respect the dead.
