Just pre-ordered the vinyl, haven't been this excited about a hip hop album in a long time.

I was just playing the bonus disc on Free Agents while I had a heavy bag session earlier, that was such a dope little compilation.

Mobb and Dilated :wow:

been listening to that bonus disc, 41st side compilation and the infamous mobb- special edition lately. I really do miss the qb sound that is non existent these days.

This was my favourite from the bonus disk. I remember copping that free agents shyt for extortionate money in hmv... It was actually the most value for money Cd I ever bought.

Many nights walked home from school in the rain with my Walkman in my blazer pocket listening to this joint

Yeah Poet killed that shyt, wild it never made it on an album.

Definitely one of the best albums I spent money on, first time I heard "Queens" by Infamous Mobb was on here too, went and found "Special Edition" with the quickness after that.

I never listened to 41st Side like that, I'm gonna have to go and revisit it.

It was definitely a different time in hip hop, Mobb put a lot of cats on for real.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Hav and Mega cook up, hopefully they tap back into that classic QB sound.

There are some duds on there for sure, but there are a handful of great tracks, especially those alchemist gems on there with nas on the tracks. I appreciate it now because you don't really see many too many dope compilations or soundtracks anymore like back in the day.

How you feel about Havoc on the album then?:picard:
:dahell: P and Hav made up and even recorded an album (the most underrated Mobb album btw) after their little beef and were doing lots of live shows together when P passed

Their beef was in 2012 but They were on good terms in 2014 and beyond until P died in 2017

Man Special Edition is like the 00’s version of Living Proof to me. Not the best rapping on earth but the production was insaneeee and the total package works so well

Godfather Don on the remix too if not mistaken? I haven't listened to that version in 15 years, I've got the 12" somewhere.

Agreed. I can't think of three better people to make this happen than Havoc, Alc, and Nas. And I'm glad Noyd is on the album plus will tour with Havoc for it. That's a good look. Would have been cool for Q-Tip to peep in for a verse or beat too but besides that I can't think of anything else I'd want as a fan. And the singles are strong as fukk. Just watched the Against The World vid...I hadn't listened to the song in awhile since I hate over-listening to singles and man. That shyt is amazing. And of course Taj Mahal is amazing.
Don't forget RAGU on a track also

Infamy has aged pretty well imo, at the time it was shocking to hear P like that - and it's clearly not his most creative/energetic performance on a Mob album (probably his worst). Havoc steps up though.

When you check his solo/Alc work around that time and in the years to come, it's also clearly a chemistry thing and a lack of faith in Havoc/Mobb Deep that led to P phoning some of it in. Kind of goes back to the Cormega discussion of yesterday.
