Music sounds so fukking good.
My nigcheck your messages. just sent you a download
I just finished revisiting that album and man I forgot how many bangers that album had. Hav definitely steps up and holds it down on both ends, plus Scott Storch, Alc, and Elpee complimented the Mobb sound with their contributions.Infamy has aged pretty well imo, at the time it was shocking to hear P like that - and it's clearly not his most creative/energetic performance on a Mob album (probably his worst). Havoc steps up though.
When you check his solo/Alc work around that time and in the years to come, it's also clearly a chemistry thing and a lack of faith in Havoc/Mobb Deep that led to P phoning some of it in. Kind of goes back to the Cormega discussion of yesterday.
I had an old XXL mag too around Infamy where P says he was dealing with very bad sickle cell flare ups during most of the infamy sessions and that he was very sick for much of itInfamy has aged pretty well imo, at the time it was shocking to hear P like that - and it's clearly not his most creative/energetic performance on a Mob album (probably his worst). I wanted a Twin/Alc project too. Still kinda do. Twin seems like a good friend. They post a lot of pics and seem like they hang out a lot. Surely Twin could try and pull that favor card if he really wanted some stuff, but it seems like he doesn’t, for whatever reasonTwin and Ev surprisingly had good chemistry. I always hoped Twin and Alc would make an album together, feels like that moments passed along time ago though.
This is what bothers me about a lot of music fans. An album doesn't have to be a classic for it to still be a solid album. Yes, it's a step down from the prior three but there's still a lot to like about it. But I guess some people only want to listen to the classics and that's fine I guess.I just finished revisiting that album and man I forgot how many bangers that album had. This was my favourite from the bonus disk. I remember copping that free agents shyt for extortionate money in hmv... It was actually the most value for money Cd I ever bought.
Many nights walked home from school in the rain with my Walkman in my blazer pocket listening to this joint
Fair!I just find the majority of the album generic as hell, P is at his worst on the mic and alot of the beats lack the grittyness that Hav was known for. It has nothing to do with it not being a classic. "Free Agents" is a great fukking album and noone is calling that classic.
There are definitely some absolute highs as I mentioned earlier, "Get Away" is one of my favourite Mobb songs. But I prefer listening to Blood Money over this album.
That's the exact reason (why they haven't) right there.I wanted a Twin/Alc project too. Still kinda do. Twin seems like a good friend. They post a lot of pics and seem like they hang out a lot. I agreeThat's the exact reason (why they haven't) right there.
