I feel it's an incredible album.

A great addition to the Mobb Deep discography for certain.

The beats are great, the rhymes and topics are great.

I think it's the best release from this Mass Appeal legends series so far.

Nas is a G in every sense of the world.

He's the leader WITH money that hip hop needs.

I love how both Havoc and Alc basically rejected the dominant sounds in dark underground rap to make this. It's not just drums. It's dark, imposing bass lines. The way multiple beats have layers, changes, etc. It's not just loops. And it gives the album a fuller sound like sounds great in the whip. I'm not shytting on Conductor, Roc Marci, Daringer, etc. But I think Havoc coming out to play (sonically) like this, alongside what Q-Tip did last year on the LL album, are really highlighting that it's time for more shifts in the scene. I'll never be tired of a great loop but I wanna hear Conway over something like this.

VERY well said!

Imagine if they would have threw G Rap on Part 2 :troll:
When they do the deluxe, this an absolute must at this point. Thank @TheDarceKnight when it happens lol. Although will probably be a Summer Walker version somehow.

This is a really good album. The other Mass Appeal albums have been dope, but they lacked consistency / cohesion. Somehow an album with a rapper thats been dead for 8 years feels more cohesive and current than the other albums.

This is Havoc in his prime as a rapper, and as a producer too. I was listening to some of his other recent productions and although he has had some dope beats, theres also a bunch that are nowhere near as good as the beats on this. He pulled out the spooky organs, ghostly vocal samples, crispy drums for this. It sounds fantastic. Alchemist did his thing too, a sequel to Silent Partner would be a great idea.

And Prodigy is one of the greatest rappers ever, theres not really much else to say about that.

The only criticism is there was no need for Down For You 2. The Jorja Smith version is superior. I don't know why Hav didn't remix the beat or ask Q-Tip to remix it or something. But its a minor complaint.

We need them Noyd & Hav, Method Man & Hav projects next.

If I could compare any Mobb Deep album to this one….it would be Amerika’s Nightmare. It gives me that same dark sinister feeling of old Mobb but updated for the modern era.

That album is a near classic imo so it’s not a bad thing but the quality of Infinite is quite strong. P’s verses were good-great and Havoc-ALC did a miraculous job at putting this album together to sound cohesive and complete.

I’m happy with the end of result and this is a great closer to Mobb Deep’s career and legacy.

It’s a dope album. No trash songs and it sounds fresh for a guy that’s been deceased for 8 years. No trap bullshyt, no songs with nba young boy/21 savage/future, just classic Mobb deep over samples and hard drums.
Alright here's a question for you, what if Prodigy and his family hated Havoc when he died? Does it ultimately make it a disingenuous grab for cash?

I'm not saying this is my opinion, I'm putting it out there for discussions sake.

Man I kinda wish Youngboy was on here because P would def rise from the grave and tell them to get that bullshyt off his fukking album. Then hit the studio like he never left.

If the ALC w/Mos Def and Erykah drop this year what a 2025.
I don’t think the Erykah album drops in 2025 tbh….Alchemist still has two more albums to drop this year (that we know of) with Armand Hammer and Hit Boy - I would think they would want to give the Abi and Alan project room to breath, especially as it’s her first album in 15 years. Grammy submission deadline has also lapsed now which is something that I would’ve thought they would’ve wanted to be in conversation for (ALC has already submitted LIB and A2 for consideration).

And with Mos - yep, no chance…..

Happy to pleasantly surprised though.
