Every single person has tons of staph aureus on their skin, they become an issue when they enter the blood circulation, they release their toxins that ends up going everywhere which leads to gangrene and or organ failure.

Any kind of puncture wound or dressing that is packed with gauze or anything of that nature is begging for a serious staph infection. Even nose bleeds should not be packed with gauze for a prolonged period of time.
