Makes a lot of good points but as a part time gamer some of the stuff doesn’t land on me personally. I don’t play online, I don’t buy games that have micro transactions, I usually buy games late AF so they are cheap or used and already done being patched

There's way more games to play today than ever before. There's more games to play than time.

But there's still some credence behind this grievance. It’s just not being communicated the best by saying "modern games suck".

There's definitely a combination of less cool IPs, an absence of a lot of beloved franchises, and a sterilization of a lot of genres that just takes the soul out of games that's mainly impacted shooters, racing and sports games.

Anyway. I think that 2014-2018 period was the last undeniable time in gaming. So many classics dropped.

The pandemic set alot of shyt back and we're know just getting to it again. These next few years look like it's gonna be another classic wave imo.
