I’ll say, the most annoying thing about gaming nowadays are the fukking skill trees. Sometimes I just want to play and find some random weapons and use them…but games take an age to build your path.

The worst one was Robocop. I’m a fukking robot, just let me skill up normally and not have to get overly technical with the skill tree and chip fusing

I wouldn't say modern gaming sucks, but a lot of it doesn't appeal to me. I play mostly sports games for the H2H but actively look for other games and deals in ps store and I'm not impressed.

BG3 was great but I have 0 interest in games like Astrobot, Forza or 90% of single player offline games. I just got older.

PS Store is trash. It's like walking into an abandoned mall. It only puts mainstream fast food in your face no matter what filter you use

Need to use Steam store if you're trying to look for something

You had to purchase Super Street Fighter 2 to get the new characters (Dee Jay, Fei Long, Etc.)

Hell you had to buy Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition/Turbo or whatever just to play as the boss characters.

OG SF2 had 8 playable characters

I see what you're saying now. I thought you were saying OG SF2 only had 4 characters

the different versions of SF2 were great in the arcade. but yeah, it was expensive to keep up with the console versions. kind of a unique situation though

something similar, that is still going on, is yearly sports games charging $70 a year for a roster update

No it’s cool to the internet to be cynical it gets most of the clicks.
I’ve said it 10000 times I don’t like video game content creators They spend more time making videos about the game then actually enjoying it

They only play games while they are in the news cycle to get the most clicks. They rush through everything to get their videos up first. They aren’t really gamers like that, they just trying to make money off the content.

Also if you are tired of games then take a break and come back later

Modern trends suck, I'm trying to play FF16 and this shyt is awful so far, just going from one quest indicator to another, long ass menu with tiny fukking font, tutorial messages poping out even 4 hours into the game, no exploration, it feels like Ubisoft's Final Fantasy.
