@So-Chi I ask because they seem like they on good terms. I know that vid of Shannon talking to/ "confronting" SAS at the Crawford fight went viral but SAS addressed it and Shannon in the comments saying it's true about what the subject of that vid was
c5847ae18a4d0990c34380717f85dfe0.png

So where is this rumor that SAS cut Shannon off coming from?

You right I'm tripping. I'm sure that they were talking about SAS gaining weight from Crunch berry cereal like SAS said during that confrontation. Not that if they were still cool he could have had that convo offline instead of when they "ran into each other". I get to tripping sometimes, nevermind me.

I didn’t “overestimate” anything.

I’m just telling you what they originally brought her in for.
And they are telling you and her what they think of her "talent" since she just been and only known as a moderator.
And you are overestimating shyt if you the one talking about ESPN should let her "sink or swim". They dont even have enough faith in her to try that.
You arguing she should be given a shot based on............nothing. Maybe FS1 will give her a show or have her on there since she someone that should be given a shot, in your opinion.

I'm done arguing with you about needing to be a voice to be heard in sports media.

Breh all I asked was did you have anything backing up why you feel the way you do. The way you talking, I thought Shannon said some shyt on Nightcap about SAS. If Shannon felt there was an issue he wouldnt even bother commenting on that post. You couldve just said "I dont believe SAS/Shannon" instead of typing all that bullshyt.

Mike Greenberg earned $6.5 million annually since 2016...When he was only hosting "Get Up"
Likely earns plenty since also hosting Sunday NFL Countdown

First Take is a U.S. television program aired on ESPN since Tuesday, January 3, 2017. First Take is watched by a total number of 468,000 people (0.15% rating, up +4% from yesterday) as of the daily audience measurement on September 19, 2025. First Take is also shown on ESPN2 since May 2007. First Take is hosted by Molly Qerim (41) and stars Stephen A. Smith (57).
=====
Get Up! is a U.S. television program broadcast on ESPN since Monday, April 2, 2018. Get Up is watched by a total number of 354,000 people (0.11% rating, down -5% from yesterday) as of the daily audience measurement on September 19, 2025. Get Up is also shown on ESPN2. Get Up! is hosted by Michael Robinette Greenberg (58).

In my opinion, Molly would've handled the situation much better than Greenberg

Or I could have done exactly what I did my nikka. Maybe Shannon didn't want to bring attention to him checking SAS about it, we don't fukking know and we are all guessing on a message board...we have zero idea how Shannon would have handled that.

As someone who listens to Get Up, Mike Greeberg is a horrible comparison. He is an actual talking head on Get Up along with the host duties. So he not paid 6.5M to be a moderator. shyt is like a mini first take and he is that show's SAS(As in the anchor of the show).

1. He signed that deal before Get Up was even made. That deal for 6.5M was made in 2016 and Get Up premiered in 2018.
2. In one of the articles you posted it says Mike was the co host of an ESPN radio show for almost 20 years. So he has skin in the game and has proven to know sports talk and had numbers to back up his asking price on top of being in demand and using his leverage.
This is from the article you posted:
SI.com's Richard Deitsch wrote the terms of that contract likely means that ESPN’s "exploration of moving" Greenberg into a new role as the lead host of a TV show that would air between 6:00-10:00am ET on ESPN is "clearly moving ahead." It "seems very unlikely that ESPN would pay Greenberg that kind of money merely to continue his radio program and a simulcast on ESPN2." One can "speculate that CAA brought in another suitor (Greenberg is repped by the same agent who reps FS1’s Skip Bayless and Colin Cowherd, and CAA Sports is tight with FS1 officials) to get ESPN to pay up." Bayless "set the market for morning talkers when he landed a contract in the neighborhood" of $5.5M per for four years, plus a $4M signing bonus. Greenberg, who has co-hosted "Mike & Mike" for 18 years, has "logged hundreds of thousands of quality hours for ESPN and the network has been good about repaying that loyalty back with cash and opportunity." This would appear to be a time when the 49-year-old Greenberg "would want to try something new"

So they gave a 20 year radio host his own tv show with get up. Greeny's situation is nothing like Molly's.

Taking chances? He wasn't coming back to the station, doubt he didn't know that. If you gonna stay away from the situation do that, don't go in the podcast calling shyt "uncomfortable"... just shut the fukk up. Tried and true homies.. We'll, we'll see.

The situation didn't merit SAS jumping all out in the open to cape for Shannon. Sounds like Disney already made their decision anyway. Shannon was dead to rights on that call about fukkin shawty in the ass when she said no. :hubie:

Personally I would have talked to him, but not on no podcast or some shyt. SAS already mentions he keeps his potnahs he grew up with around as his main friends. Even with them, if they had a chance of fukkin up his bread, they'd get the :camby: too. But they not dumb to move stupid around him.

This is my whole point.. Ya boy on goofy time don't use it on your podcast, just shut the fukk up. If Stephen A was my "friend" I don't even want a plug that I rely on him for.

I understand Greenberg has significantly more experience than Molly.
From what I've seen and heard from Greenberg on Get Up, he sets up the topics just like Molly with more freedom to insert his "takes," which aren't insightful, thought-provoking, surface-level, typical casual fan BS.

There's not a $16M difference in value between Greenberg and Molly

You ignored the part about Greenberg having a built in audience. I don't understand how he has such a huge fan base but old white men love him. He's a proven commodity. That shyt matters.

How would you quantify Greenberg's audience?
He's the corny, safe option that they can always pivot to and not have to worry about ruffling any feathers or controversy.

That's his audience unfortunately.

For the record, Greeny is essentially the moderator on Get Up. If you don’t believe so, look at that Schrager/Clark situation and how he handled it.
