This is clearly a downgrade of what she was doing on FT and I highly doubt her salary is even close to around the 500k she was making on there

She made a terrible career move as I don’t see her making around the 500k she was making ever again

She was probably laid off and allowed to make it seem like she resigned.

She was probably laid off and allowed to make it seem like she resigned.
Basically it was reported things went like this:
Contract negotiations started. ESPN had a price(500k iirc), she wanted more.
Neither side would budge so she agreed to see out the end of her contract(was a few months left) and that would be it.
It leaks that ESPN not renewing her contract and this her last year.
Molly doesnt like that was leaked by whoever at ESPN and immediately quit.

Now here we are.

I don’t think so. I think she was being problematic/emotional behind the scenes due to her being lowballed and someone from ESPN leaked that she was leaving at the end of the year which she got mad and decided to resign. I also think she was mad at Stephen A for not going to bat for her in negotiations

Molly seems like a nice woman but she also seems a lil off and delusional. I can see why Jalen was the one that filed for divorce

He said this on his Sirius radio show? I'm surprised he would even broach the subject given he's still on the show weekly.

She clearly overvalued her contributions to the show. 500K wasn't bad for working a few hours a day talking sports, even if she was being "demoted" to Sports Center. Shorty a real bozo but I blame SA for gassing her up.

Wasn't on his Sirius show, it was on someone else's podcast/show from Sports Illustrated.

“I think they probably wanted to move her around a little bit and try something different,” Russo said.

“Not that the ratings were bad, it’s just the nature of the beast. You’re on air forever, they like to make a change for making a change’s sake. I think they wanted to keep Molly with the network, and I don’t know if Molly wanted to do that. Because I think Molly probably looked at as, ‘If I’m not going to do First Take, I don’t want to do SportsCenter.’ So she probably felt that that would be a demotion, I would assume.”

Russo said he got a heads-up from Stephen A. Smith that Qerim would be leaving, and later spoke with Qerim about her exit.
The longtime radio host understands why Qerim would have had hard feelings returning to air after the news was out.

“I think she precipitated it. … I think, probably, she felt embarrassed,” Russo explained. “I didn’t talk to her about the specifics of why she decided as soon as it was in the Sports Business Journal, but that’s what I’m thinking. That she probably would have felt embarrassed if the world would have thought she was a lame duck and she was still doing the show.”
