Her own show??

:laff:

Yo these chicks really think men give a fukk about their sports opinions :what:

I could see it. Remember the blonde from Colin Cowherd? They gave her a show & booked her talent and that shyt got canned after a month

I can totally see Molly pitching a sports show with “a female perspective” or getting to know “the athletes beyond the game”

I stopped watching First Take once I developed more respect for my time.

Watching performative pretend arguments for 2 hours ain't the type of life I want for myself.

Molly was really good at her job though. Respect.

I hope to get there someday.

:jbhmm: so she resigned or didn't sign an extension, and is no longer on the air? is it because she's going to a competitor...or is something else going on?
My guess is that an offer was presented, she didn't take it, so they let her go. Take it or leave

I don’t know how it feels to work for a company for almost 20 years, then doing the same thing for 10 years. I almost got depressed working for a company and doing the same shyt for 3 years.

Perhaps she just woke up, and felt that she wanted to do something else than hosting first take before she’s like 50.

This is my guess, but to add more color I think she felt that she and ESPN would come to an agreement later on, but then yesterday's headline blindsides her about not returning at the end of the year.

Molly wanted to do more and earn more but ESPN didn’t show any faith in her vision…Probably wanted her own show and if that wasn’t to be then a significant salary boost to stay on ESPN. More than likely underpaid given the going rate

That’s my guess
This is a farfetched take. Molly knows the reality of the sports landscape and ESPN right now. They are not giving out new shows, and they certainly ain’t betting on a woman to lead a new show (minus giving the wnba squad a spot), and outside of the 4-6 names they overwork, no one is getting a big pay raise. People can want to do other stuff without their being big drama.

Many of the non-superstar ESPN roster got resigned yesterday. She probably thinks she should be in the Mina, RC tier, and when they low balled her and she said fukk it:manny:
Also did she get any cash from Jalen in the divorce? I'm sure she's probably good without the ESPN check for awhile.

The more likely scenario is she probably wanted a different schedule and/or salary and they said no. They probably wouldn’t move on any of her key points so her representatives communicated that she would be done and requested to leave effective immediately. They probably honored that and said she would be paid out through the end of the year but got out ahead of the news.
