I'm honestly dealing with the same thing in my life right now. I feel like I'm only doing 25% of what I'm capable of but most people would look at my life and say I have it made, meawhile I want to work and do more but my job won't allow me to.

Funny cause I had a guy on my team leave because he was just tired of doing cloud engineering and wanted to do something else, but he said he struggled with it for 2 years because he was making over 200k and working from home everyday. Said he knows that is the holy grail of IT and he kept telling himself no way he should be walking away from that even though he had come to hate working in IT in general. Finally did it a few weeks ago. Sad cause he was the second best person on my team, could just assign him to a project and never think about it again until I got the email saying the go live was successful a few months later.

it is always money or corporate politics that causes people to leave...and i saw malika andrews got a new contract so i wouldn't be surprised if malika got way more money than her and molly felt disrespected with the offer she got.

and people talking like molly hasn't made enough money during her ~20 years at ESPN saying she doesn't have options. if she was making 500k+ a year then she should be able to retire comfortably if she managed her money well.
