The other dude was a hustler and had an Asian business partner. Nigerian was in over his head at that point. Any SBA or free business admin would have told Nigerian this at the beginning but what was problematic is what @Geoffrey_Chaucer said, many of us wanted in and even offered money for equity but Nigerian was combative af about that.If I recall the other dude stole Nigerians idea and told him to pull up. Dude said he had 20k ready for a lawyer but Nigerian didn’t want no smoke...or couldn’t afford the smoke the other dude was lighting.
Lesson learned people, sometimes the best ideas are the ones other people come up with.
I was willing to give 5k, get distribution and lock up a region for a % of equity but he wanted my money with no equity and that was never gonna happen in a million years. This was way before he was getting national press. Before Mollywater copywrited the idea and name. I would have did that first as I have did with other companies.

This was one of the weirdest and most legendary backfires of all time.
Nigerian was playing Molly Watr for months on here when a niqqa showed up out of nowhere with Molly Water (with the 'e' , right?).
Niqqa had a warehouse full on that day. The first day we ever heard of him.
He commences to actually sell some cases to the Brehs - whereas Nigerian would always write out these treasure maps instead of just selling it to the Brehs.
(In Chicago there's one store that sells it but only after sundown on Fridays. Or if you tweet Molly Watr 3x per day for the next week I'll mail you one bottle)
So. To me it seems that this other Molly Water was out there and Nigerian tried to flip it on some Molly Watr shyt. nikka prolly had 1500 labels printed and just slapped em on water bottles.
I don't know for sure who was first or how far Nigerian actually got.

He never had intentions of selling water to people.
The other guy didn't trademark molly water until January 2013. The first instance of molly water ever being mentioned was October 2012 when Chief Keef dropped Love Sosa. Then he mentioned it again December 2012 when he dropped Hate Being Sober. TheNigerian didn't start producing mollywatr bottles until April 2013.
