shyt makes my goddamn skin crawl.

Reminds me of this incident where this grown ass Mexican was makin inappropriate comments towards my sister who was 7 at tha time. Wetback was bold enough to say tht shyt INFRONT of my mama too smh.

'Wow she's soo beautiful!':krs:

'Imagine how she'll look when she gets older. ':shaq:

Of course i wasn't there when it happened.:stopitslime:

I remember once being in line w/my dad at the liquor store (candy coated peanuts for the win) and some sick nikka "joked" about my pigtails making good handlebars. I couldn't have been older than seven or so. My dad didn't hear it, but even though I had no idea what it meant, I knew good and hell well I better not repeat what I heard. Don't even want to think about what would've happened had he been in earshot.

Strangely enough, I remember that clearly b/c it was one of the first times I was allowed to wear my hair down...my mom didn't believe in me wearing my hair long b/c she didn't want me to think I was 'cute'. The onus of deflecting male attention has long been on women and girls for so long...but that's a different thread for a different day. (sigh)

we talking bout the young adults of today

back in our day overbearing parents would do things like refuse to let their kids watch tv or play outside. all shyt that never worked. I'm sure most of y'all met those type of kids and they were worse for it not better. socially awkward and outcasted.

The Comfort Zone
U didnt put the "he let me leave" part...
Ur just saying that now...
U said "Wouldn't let me get back on the elevator until I agreed and I remember being scared af but kept my cool. As soon as I went back upstairs I told my Stepdad and Uncle."
I get it now tho.... glad nothing happened

Thanks, but I would think you could deduce that "let me leave (the basement)" and "get on the elevator" being that I said we lived in a building were the same.

Myself. fukk 12(1)!
Absolutely.

I'll never forget one day I was sent to take the garbage down to basement. This Mexican dude who did work around the building asked me to come back down and promised to give me 20 dollars if I did. Wouldn't let me get back on the elevator until I agreed and I remember being scared af but kept my cool. As soon as I went back upstairs I told my Stepdad and Uncle.

I step out the elevator first

"Hi" :shaq:
My stepdad and uncle follow.
"You told my daughter to meet you down here? You wanna die today?" :birdman:
:whoa: "I don't speak English"

I was 10. Smh.

Scust.
This. Grown men would comment on my physique when I was 11-12 years old. I remember jogging around my neighborhood with my sister (we both ran track) and some man followed us in a car, rolled down his window and yelled something about my legs and how I'd "grow up nice".

People are trash as fukk, and I truly believe that if the laws weren't what they are, some men would be out here getting with girls barely in their teens.

Relax bro... lol... See ur reaction tho?
Why did u say u were willing to give dude benefits of the doubt but couldn't?

Not that I couldnt't, with the new evidence that @Illuminatos posted, I can't, dude was clearly doing weird shyt.

He intinally responded and defended himself saying he was just giving her a congrats and words of encouragement. Odd? Depends on who you ask (I wouldn't like it, then again, I wouldn't like my young child on social media but I digress)

In that moment, he seemed harmless. But with the new evidence, dude doing some weirdo shyt in the background. He hinted that he messaged a few children that day.

Hence benefit of doubt rescinded :yeshrug:

I don't like to dogpile folks and get emotional, that is how you lose the facts :francis:

She wasn't in no beauty pageant or contest I'm pretty sure. They just call her "Little Miss Flint" cause of her activism on behalf of the kids of Flint.

When she was 8-years-old, Mari Copeny wrote a letter to President Obama, asking him to meet with her and a group of people coming to Washington D.C. to watch congressional hearings on the Flint water crisis. He responded with a letter announcing that instead, he was coming to Flint to ensure the people there receive “the help [they] need and deserve.”

At that point, she was already known around town as “Little Miss Flint” because of her activism and work to represent the children of Flint, Michigan, where there hasn’t been clean water since April 2014. Now ten, Mari is still working hard for the people of Flint — most recently raising over $10,000 in two weeks online to provide backpacks for over 1,000 students in Flint as they head back to school this fall. Mari partnered with an organization called Pack Your Back, which is “working for the benefit of the underprivileged in the public education system through distribution events and community get-togethers, helping to give students opportunities to interact and grow.” The recent event was a success and Mari helped over 1,000 Flint students head back to school with the supplies they needed!

Mari has done so much to help the people of Flint but she’s also done some other amazing work too. She is the youngest Women’s March Youth Ambassador, National Youth Ambassador for the Climate March, and Youth Ambassador for Equality for Her. She has spoken in front of the White House and at the Science March in Washington D.C. Mari also spoke at the United Nations Girl Up Leadership Conference. She’s an inspiration to girls around the world.
