nikkas act like everybody mom is the stereotypical mother from tv. Some mother's are drug addicts, thieves, all kinds of shyt (not saying that OPs mom is). If the shoes were on the other foot where his credit was bad or fiscally irresponsible and asked his mom to cosign on a car, I bet she wouldn't. IF she messed up her own credit by stopping to make payments in the past what makes you think she wouldn't do his the same way?

To the OP, you are the only one who knows how your mom is. If you feel uneasy about doing it, either make sure you have the money to take over payments or tell her that you don't feel comfortable cosigning for her

Does she have a history of being irresponsible or, she mismanaged money in the beginning and now it's coming back around but she has the means to support it? If it were my parents because they bent over backwards for me, I would do it. Unless...they did things like this all the time and I knew they would mess me over. Do you have extra money to make the payments if she can't? Do you really think she would put you under like that?

Man fukk the sentimental shyt. That mommy shyt don't mean shyt to me. I fell for that shyt. My mom got a new phone contract in my name and she let that shyt to. But instead of letting it to after one months bill she kept making deals and eventually went a couple months not paying but promised to and finally let he shyt to at 1600 dollars and I'm left with that shyt. And then because I didn't know about it, it has incurred late fees and now a out 2000 dollars and I have a family to raise, a car note, and students loans.


But I did it all for moms.

It's a bad idea to cosign for ANYONE...EVER at any time.

If someone needs a cosigner, they can't afford whatever they want to buy. You can still love your mother without fukking yourself over financially. Plus how will you feel about your mother when she stops paying? You don't even want to introduce that kind of discomfort in your family, especially with your mom.

Unless you're 100% comfortable with paying carrying that note for the life of the loan by yourself, don't do it. You wouldn't find a financial advisor on the planet who'd recommend cosigning a loan for anyone.
