Again the media talking heads pushed for it not fans as a whole again, there are many of us that were against the change because it was going to diminish the value of the regular season.

Also again look said before there were those of us who did not like the fact that they expanded the first round to reduce upsets, which also increases the value of seeding and regular season performance.

Of course not every single fan pushed for those changes, but there were definitely those who did. To frame it as just the media is disingenuous.

I really want to know where you got 579 million population, you fukkin idiot :russ::russ:.
300 and whatever I typed in North America with Canada and Mexico included

still doesnt change international TV viewership and majority of that being white people

where the international viewership for basketball is on the other side of the world at 3am mostly... and they give more of a fukk about soccer (football) instead

white people dont really watch anything besides football and baseball like that

its just as dumb as comparing football to soccer when most of the entire world prefers or cares about soccer. Of course one will be greater than the other this isnt groundbreaking news over and over. Basketball will never top Football, it would take a worldwide seasonal league and better yearly cup tournaments to even break ice

The NBA had the same division rules as the NFL. Division winners automatically get the top 3 seeds in the conference.

Then the 06 playoffs happened, and a 42 win Nuggets team got a higher seed than a 60 win Mavs squad because they won their division and it resulted in the two best teams in the West having to play each other in the 2nd round. People, and not just the media, complained that they shouldn’t have had to play before the WCF so they changed the rules so winning the division only guaranteed homecourt but not a top 3 seed.

Then the 2015 playoffs happened. The Blazers get homecourt because they won their division, even though they had the 6th best record in the conference. That results in the Spurs & Clippers having to play each other in the 1st round. Folks, including those on this site, complained that they shouldn’t have had to play that early. NBA listened and they changed the rules so that divisions didn’t dictate playoff seeding.

So again, divisions don’t matter because that’s what fans & media asked for.

NBA should go back to 2 divisions per conference, top 2 getting the top 2 seeds again because what they have now is dumb. They thought it would give more teams hope but the slowly backtracked on every point in having 3 divisions per conference.

They realigned because after Charlotte got the expansion team they wanted to have an equal amount of teams in each division

I know why they did it, but if winning your division now means less than it did when they first did the realignment, maybe they should change what they have now. We already know the league isn't afraid to make changes anyway.

How much money you making off bragging about ratings :mjlol:

Let me guess, you were one of the retards a few years back bragging about the downfall of the NFL, right? I love clowning dummies like you on the Coli every chance I can get. How does it feel to root for a sport that can’t even beat out College Basketball in the ratings? :mjlol:

Uncertain grounds
When the players dont care then the public wont either

How many times does an NFL player sit for "rest" or "personal reasons"?

Why should someone get season tickets or plan to watch a game when they dont know who will be playing? That makes it about pure team loyalty and with player movement increasing and the individuals being focused on more then there will additionally be less team loyalty. NBA fans are increasingly asked to be fans of a front office rather than the team and the front offices/ownership are often times idiots. I dont blame people for not watching as much as they once may have
