They had a league-leading 113.3 offensive rating and one of the best records up until the trade - built on their ability to move the ball + having adequate depth - which was basically stripped away from them when Rondo came on board (departure of Wright and Crowder). They went from having one of the greatest offenses of the modern era to having an average-season offense (104.1). That's a near 10-PPCP difference. If they kept their OG team intact, they would've arguably been the second best team in the West going into the playoffs. If you didn't watch them [regularly] play prior to the trade, there's no point in you replying to this post.
Man miss me with these fraction of the season stats. They wasn't sustaining that shyt, trade or no trade. They regressed to the mean and came back down to earth. The damn Toronto Raptors was one of the leagues highest rated teams early on and sported a 24-7 record. Just like the Mavericks, the Raptors never were a real threat to sustain that success and win it all, let alone make it to the Finals.
I don't have to validate my stance, although I will let you know that I watched the Mavericks plenty this year, as well as every other team in the league, because I'm an avid NBA fan. This damn team wasn't ever gonna finish the season with some all time historic offense

nikka are you serious? They fukked up a chance at having an all time great offense because they got rid of Brandon Wright, Jameer Nelson, and Jae fukking Crowder?
Did Rondo fukk up team chemistry and probably hurt the offense. Sure. But lets not act like Dallas had any type of legitimate shot at making it out of the gauntlet that's the Western Conference. At this point you're just using Rondo as a scapegoat as to why Dallas never met expectations that were unrealistic in the first place.
