I grew broke with no dream. I figured I wouldnt be shyt at an earlier age, but I also decided to work hard and do the best I could. Now that I've achieved some success I'm happy.

Depends on what we define as depressed. Feeling temporary down or sad about something doesn't mean depression. Unless it is formally diagnosed as such, can't rely on what someone says. Self diagnosis isn't the same as really having it.

I don't think people are depressed. I just think more people can't deal with reality. They are believing way too much bullshyt because it's constantly shoved in their face. It has even caused many to live bullshyt lives knowing deep down inside that it's a lie. So as a result, we see folks get hurt when they have to face the truth. Folks really having high expectations they should never be having to begin with.

This is a major key. I’ve noticed that people, especially the women I’ve dated like to throw the word depressed around a lot, when in reality they’re just feeling blue for the moment.
I’ve never been depressed or been thru a depression so far in my life so I don’t know what that’s like, but if I’m in that space the first thing I’m doing is talking to somebody about it. You gotta nip shyt like that in the bud before it spirals out of control and next thing you know you curled up on the couch eating buckets of ice cream at a time.

Most of us can't afford to take time off, not to mention America can't even offer universal healthcare without resistance. How many "Job Creators" offer health insursance to their employees?. America is so behind in terms of social welfare.

its a fact that countries that put more emphasis on striving to the top by any means and work more hours per week are far less happier than countries that have better safety nets and provide a less stressful existence for their citizens.

Our mortality rate is pretty high for a 1st world country.

I also don't think its fair to blame social media, it's simply a mirror of society. You can't blame a shallow narcissistic society on an app/piece of code.
