The whole checking "White" thing is not a shocker. Some people with roots from Latin America are the direct descendants of Europeans. The whole Latino thing is a culture rather than a race anyway.

A lot of these place people just self identify as whatever they want. Do you really expect us to believe Cuba is white 64.1%, mestizo 26.6%, black 9.3%? Many of those "Whites" are octoroons, quadroons and light Mulattoes.
