Millions of Latinos are descendants of Europeans. Even those not technically white like the brown Mexicans are interbreeding with the whites in this country so their kids look almost white anyway.

I don't know where you are from but I grew up in LA in a very diverse environment. I also attended school with a very diverse group of students. My parents and family members also had a very eclectic group of friends so I may have been exposed more than the average.

im from NYC so same here. i had an afro-honduran friend but i cant say i have ever met any mexicans, salvadoreans, chileans, or peruvians that were anything other than indigenous or mestizo. like i said, its not that i dont think they exist, but its a smallll percentage.

Here's the thing, you are judging the validity of MY experience based upon your own and life simply doesn't work that way. I attended college with Chinese-Peruvians (a brother and sister) and Afro-Brazilians (sisters). Know many Afro-Panamanians, Afro-Hondurans (childhood friend, neighbors and family friends), Afro-Salvadorian (friend of college roommate). My cousin dated a man (an artist) who self identified as Afro-Mexican. I know a man who is Ecuadorean and looks like Gregory Hines. One of my best friends is Jewish and (white) Cuban (fair skin, green eyes, red hair) and has a jet black auntie....and on and on...
