"I had a fifth in the trunk like Curtis Jackson for ransom
I'm hoping to get her loose like an Uncle Luke Anthem"

"I was in heat like a cactus, my tactics of being thirsty
Probably could hurt me, but fukk it I got some heart
Grab my momma's keys, hopped in the car, then oh boy"

When we in traffic and tragic happens, that shyt ain't no threat"

what a poet :whoo:

"
If I told you that a flower bloomed in a dark room, would you trust it?
I mean I write poems in these songs dedicated to you when
You're in the mood for empathy, there's blood in my pen"

"
It’s 2:30 and the sun is beaming/
Air conditioner broke and I hear my stomach screaming/

Hungry for anything unhealthy and if nutrition can help me/
I’ll tell you to suck my dikk then I’ll continue eating/" goat hip hop line:to:

"Brace yourself, I'll take you on a trip down memory lane
This is not a rap on how I'm slinging crack or move cocaine
This is cul-de-sac and plenty Cognac and major pain
Not the drill sergeant, but the stress that weighing on your brain" these wordplays :banderas:

Wicked as 80 reverends in a pool of fire with devils holding hands
From the distance, don’t know which one is a Christian.. damn
Who can I trust in 2012? There’s no one not even myself
A Gemini screaming for help, somebody

:whew: so many interpretations

Enemy of the State isn't even better than Section 80 let alone a whole career. Those random bars are nice to hear but can't match the cohesiveness of an actual structured song about something. Honestly I really don't even feel Lu's music like that anymore. F&LII was a huge letdown.

I will only agree with the bolded. Which is why when I see a nikka requestin some EOTS shyt on Lu albums I write them off as a clown. With that said F&LII had lyricism and songs :wow: a nikka displayin every skill a rapper should have at its highest level. nikka so good that nikkaz dont even know how to receive the shyt :wow: they askin Lu to sacrifice his lyrics for alien voices and sound effects :russ:

You don't like K. Dot...okay fine but you're not going to convince people a rough mixtape is better than his whole career. Whole thread is extreme hyperbole.

Funny you have to reach back to a mixtape that came out years ago to reference something dope associated with Lu.

Lupe stan/K. Dot hater....you're at the extreme end of both spectrum without a shred of logic to back anything up.

Holler when Lu starts dropping gems again.

Hotboxing like George Foreman grilling the masses
Of the working world
:banderas:

I can say that I like a challenge and you tell me it's painless
You don't know what pain is
How can I paint this picture when the color blind is hanging with you

too deep :banderas:

Monopolize my prophecy, they watching me through bonoculars obviously bytch im pac and he's wildebeast
Wanna be's wanna be me take one of these and take it easy, the lord wants you and forklifts need me

:damn: god damn kendrick

Moving grams like relocating your mom's momma

from heart part 2:

[Let bygones be bygones but where I'm from
We buy guns and more guns, to give to the young]

[Put burners in the hands, of the black man
One hood with 20 four-four's like a cloned Kobe Bryant]

[Look the mastermind, took the masters mind
Just the perfect time, just to master mine
Just to match the grind with precision
Look the mastermind, took (cough) - ]

shyt, the whole song is contender for goat song :wow:

Now I was raised in a sandbox, next to you and her
You was holding the handgun, she was giving birth
To a baby boy to be just like you, I wonder what's that worth
I-I wonder if you ever knew that you was a role model to me first
The next day I-I woke up in the morning, seen you on the news
Looked in the mirror, then realized I-I-I had something to prove
You told me "Don't be like me, just finish watching cartoons"
Which is funny now cause all I see is Wile E. Coyotes in the room :blessed:

I used to want to see the penitentiary way after elementary
Thought it was cool to look the judge in the face when he sentenced me
Since my uncles was institutionalized
My intuition has said I was suited for family ties

:sadcam:

I can quote that kid kendrick all day long, and dude only got 2 albums :dwillhuh::blessed:

This not sayin nothing to me. Kendrick's flow on "Backseat Freestyle" (for example) is an apex of rap flow. There's only a handful of nikkas fukking with Kendrick flow-wise when he's at his best.

kendrick flow on backseat is actually the most complex flow we have heard since Andre/Eminem in the early 2000s. The transition between different rhythmic levels, from quadruplets, to quintuplets, to sextuplets, to double-quadruplets, is on a level we have never seen before and that alone put the song on almost every end year list of 2012. This is far more complex than jsut rapping fast

I can write 4 pages of analysis... just for THAT flow on THAT song..

On topic, a lot of people already think that s80 is better than Lupe's first 2 albums... just saying  I've never seen kendrick losing a poll agaisnt lupe with that album... crazy when you know that lupe is the internet king :mjpls:

I love Lupe and this mixtape.....

But quotables?

I rarely hear anybody reciting lines from that.....

Money Trees and Madd City got more quotables than that whole mixtape

I'm a fan of both so it's no bias, I'm just being honest in terms of taking about "quotables"
