I remember a recent thread where someone made a claim about black voting rates in response to Mamdani’s election (not the thread topic but just saying) and the counter evidence was presidential elections data.And the election prior to that, where a much higher percentage of the populace voted, showed that the majority are that stupid

More people step out for Presidential elections than any other races in all demographics. I wasnt going to jump in, provide data, and get that data ignored but people vote funny style across the board and then try to course correct with local and midterm federal races. Americans love to ping pong between adults they can yell at (Dems) and adults that the Democrats should be able to regulate(Reps). We can just as easily swing back just because the recovery isnt fast enough for Americans.

Did this blue wave shift the dynamics of checks and balances? If I’m in a town that’s getting g done dirty by this administration , wtf would I care about the NYC mayoral election? The politics there are particular to that demo and not mine.
And I stand by what I said. Some of those same Trump hating republicans will fall right back in line when/if his grip on the party is weakened or wiped from existence. The historical record has shown that those folks will be about any and every issue pre ballot casting. Then when they step in the booth, it’s Republican downvote.
