The reason being that the majority of people do not have the tools or even the long-term attention span to keep up with how the economy was moving towards this since the 80s. It was the job of the experts to inform the political representatives of these problems, and then work to forestall it. But these middle aged adults still struggling more than likely it's their own fault. I grew up around too many ain't shyt people still blaming everyone else for their failures.
