:mjlol: @ this whole thread.

Looks like a nice spin job by somebody, and I don't know who's gonna clear it up, but it seems there's 2 possibilities here. One, either Mos got put on some kind of no fly list (:russ:); or two, and personally what seems more likely, Mos Def has legal issues in the US that he knows he will be picked up on once he lands in this great nation :blessed:

Anybody saying the nikka got deported, that makes no fukking sense :mjlol:

You can't deport a citizen, plus the nikka left on his own free will.

Also, even if he renounced his citizenship he wouldn't be barred from entry to the country, believe it or not, non citizens can enter the country, they're called tourists :skip:

Dude clearly has legal issues and he's likely unwilling to risk coming into the country, and his PR person decided to spin it into some political bullshyt that all his faux black militant cac fans will eat up.

Do better brehs :lolbron:

I hate when legendary artists don't handle their business and make themselves look real bad. Mos Def and Scarface come to mind. I know they are not rapping about pushing Bentley's and then not making child support but these guys can support their kids.

Trailer For ‘Life Of Crime’ – Starring John Hawkes, Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), Jennifer Aniston, Tim Robbins…

From Yahoo! Movies comes this first trailer for ‘Life of Crime,’ writer-director Dan Schechter’s adaptation of Elmore Leonard’s ‘The Switch.’ The crime drama novel is set 15 years before the events of Leonard’s ‘Rum Punch,’ which Quentin Tarantino adapted to make ‘Jackie Brown.’ Opening on August 29th, the film stars the likes of John Hawkes, Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), Jennifer Aniston, Will Forte, Tim Robbins, Mark Boone Junior and Isla Fisher. Hawkes and Bey will be playing younger versions of Robert De Niro and Samuel L. Jackson’s respective characters seen in ‘Jackie Brown,’ Louis Gara and Ordell Robbie.

Set 15 years before the events in ‘Jackie Brown,’ the story follows career criminals Ordell and Louis as they team up to kidnap Mickey Dawson (Jennifer Aniston), the wife of a corrupt real estate developer (Tim Robbins). When the husband refuses to pay the ransom for his wife’s return, the ex-cons are forced to reconceive their plan, and the angry housewife uses them to get her revenge. Will Forte plays Marshall Taylor, a married country club member who harbors a crush on Mickey and spends most of the film in a moral dilemma after witnessing her kidnapping.

Did you read those articles though?

Her lawyer believes that federal officials, focusing on cracking down on immigration fraud, violated Alfaro's due process rights as a U.S. citizen.....

A State Department Official confirmed that Alfaro was issued a new passport after submitting additional information, and said the agency takes "seriously our responsibility to protect U.S. borders through the vigilant adjudication of U.S. passport applications.".....

Alfaro's troubles began as a teen in 1998, when officials at JFK Airport first stopped her after she landed for her first visit to relatives in New York.

According to Alfaro, an immigration officer told her that the U.S. passport she carried was not hers. An officer said that she should write down her correct name on a piece of paper.

She penned "Blanca Maria Alfaro" but officers laughed and ripped it up, she said.

"I told them I was from here, from the United States. They insisted, no, I was from El Salvador," she said.

So, basically if some bureaucrat makes a mistake/judgment and assumes you're not really a US citizen, then they are deporting you on grounds that you're not a US citizen, albeit mistakenly.

I stand by meh story, you cannot be deported as a US citizen, it makes no legal sense. If you commit a crime or transgression as a US citizen, you're legally (supposed) to be protected by the constitution ie due process, tried, and sentenced to jail in America unless we're talking some terrorism/war crimes shyt. Now I'm not saying there isn't corruption, but again, I believe Mos just fukked up out here and now his PR or ignorant fans are trying to spin it like he's some political prisoner :mjlol:

US citizens don't get deported without corruption or mistaken identity brehs.

Call nikkas out for not knowing what they talking about for daps when you don't know what you're talking about brehs
