The natural came out in 95, not too long after illmatic. I don't recall anybody saying he was a fake Nas... everyone fukked with shyts real and the masta ic...plus Jay z was featured on the natural before anyone really knew who he was...O.C. was on it too, and he's BK legend... I just don't feel comfortable disrespecting mic g like that.

I feel you. Mic G wasn't a "Nas biter". But from a promotional standpoint Irv was mimicking Nas promo.
I don't believe Mic G ever put his pen to the paper in attempts to sound like Nas, but he was clearly inspired by what Nas was doing.

I got a grip of vinyl from that 97-02 era sitting in a closet somewhere in my parents house. . im making them bring it to florida when they eventually move. i don't have room for it but im never giving those up:blessed:

Metalheadz, VIRUS, V-Recordings...:mjcry: the good old days :mjcry:. if I could rewind time and go back, it'd be to year 2000 at a party in some abandoned building hearing a lot of that shyt for the first time. it's a shame what happened to that whole scene. the new stuff is trash

I have a TON of jungle/dnb wax at my parent's house as well. I'm talmbout like 1200+ records and shyt. I'm actually still pretty heavily into it to this day...it fell off real hard from 01-04, and there's still a lot of garbage, but it has definitely redeemed itself after that imo.

Tone is like my first Kanye. The rapper who I thought was dreadful but an elite producer so he got a pass. His Trackmasters work saved him from being on my permanent shyt list. He ruined so many songs with his raps.

Oh and Grand Puba was he illest back then.
