List rappers you felt were terrible or just average when they started and eventually felt they were elite rappers then name when you felt they made the switch. Was it gradual or was it instant?

Childish Gambino for sure.

Sick Boi and Poindexter were:scust:
Culdesac, EP and Camp were :leon:
Royalty was :ohhh: (from a pure rapping standpoint)
Because the Internet and Stn Mtn/Kauai were :ahh:, not to mention all the features and freestyles he was killing at the time. :wow:

you can actually make an argument that Eminem's improvement from Infinite to late 90s/early 00s Eminem is pretty impressing too. But then again it was clear on Infinite that he knew how to rap, so it was more so about him finding his own style.

Im struggling to think of anybody I would describe as really improved.....I could say Jeezy but i liked Tm101 Jeezy as much as current Jeezy...in terms of technically improving I would say he did though.

But in terms of me actually liking nikkas more when they "improve"?99% of the time I like them the way i was introduced to them, more or equal to the so called improved version.

I will say Fabolous too though, his newer shyt may not get you as hype as the punchlines he first came on the scene with....May not rewind his new wordplay quite as much...but his actual songs have more replay value without those punchlines now. thos punchlines had a expiration date before they aged horribly....the punchlines dont move u once theyve been ran into the ground,or its based on a current event that was only relevent 10 years ago.
