West and The South are about even. In regard to the West:

Straight Outta Compton
Amerikkaz Most Wanted
Death Certificate
Nobody Does It Better
Eazy Duz It
nikkaz4Life
Doggystyle
Chronic
Me Against The World
All Eyez On Me
7 Day Theory
2001
The Documentary
To Pimp A Butterfly

The South:

Grip It On That Other Level
We Can't Be Stopped
The Diary
Southernplayalistic
ATLiens
Aquemini
Soul Food
400 Degreez
Ghetto D
Ridin' Dirty
Trap Muzik
TM101
Are we talking real classics? Or 3 mic albums that sold a lot? (Ghetto D, 400 Degreez and TM 101).

I ask because 11 of the West Coast albums are legit 5 mic albums (many of them GOAT album contenders) and most of the Southern albums aren’t on that level.

nikkas violating 50 cent Grodt, Dmx its dark and hell is hot, dr dre 2001, Biggie Ready to die and even Kanye west College Dropout only on thecoli

Agree. However i think the point of naming albums like GRODT for example is based on some feeling like it doesnt hold up well these days.

I personally agree with that. Havent bumped or know anybody bumpin it since 03-04. However theres no denying its impact and i would also say its a classic regardless.

It's subjective. You have people in this thread and others that will straight up deny 2001 as a classic and will use the same argument you are putting up against Ghetto D, 400 Degreez, and TM101. Those albums had an impact well beyond just the regional level. There's no way, we are using mic ratings and then saying Ghetto D, 400 Degreez, and TM101 are 3 mics, when all three albums received 4 mics from The Source.

Yep.

400 Degreez
On Fire
U.P.T.

Rich nikkaz almost up there but meh not quite.

And i didn't include any of the commercial singles cuz we skippin them anyway.

And he got like 3 Ha's on that shyt :mjlol:

And when i say avg thats not a diss. Most avg songs you gonna bump but you talking about facing up against these other albums thats just hitters every track.Cash money didnt want to do that anyway. They was good at they lane.

I'm going with Good Kid Maad City.

if you listen to it today you'll realize that it has only been a few years but outside of

money trees
sing about me/dying of thirst
the art of peer pressure

that album has already aged terribly.

swimming pools and bytch don't kill my vibe sound average as hell.

Every thing else is lackluster
sherrane has to be the worst intro ever.. especially for a "classic" album.

it really isn't as good as people make it out to be and I was on the hype train when it dropped but 6 years later it does not hold up!

section 80 is still his best album
Revisited it last year and it’s still flat out amazing. Best mainstream album of this decade.
