nah. scarface was the sucka-duck in that situation.

flip didn't say anything that tons of people weren't already running around saying.

face only cosigned T.I. cuz he was mad that lil flip didn't sign with def jam south.

actually, wait. let me back it up. T.I. pulled the biggest pu$$y move by starting a beef with flip over something that never happened. nine years later, we still aint see the tape. and 7 years later, we still have no young dro follow-up album. that's my next nominee for biggest clitoris moves by Clifford.

lol @ this dude.

the jay/cam chit was like the most blatant form of duckery ive ever seen.

jay & nas both played themselves out something serious.

and yes, i give jay more props than nas since he at least tried to go head up with cam. but when jay saw that he was losing, he backed out of the battle and started dissing jim jones exclusively in order to save face. those tracks you posted were from before people started crowning cam as the victor. once that happened, in came the blatant blackballing, the extra-curricular f*ckery, and yet no more tracks. a blind man can see this.

nobody gives a f*ck about an interview. those interviews made him & nas look even more b*tchmade. when they did that toure' interview, it made anybody that was still in doubt realize that they didn't want it with cam.

i don't think jay respects cam'ron or saw him as serious compeition
after getting into it with nas, jay probably saw cam as a bum. and unlike his battle with nas, he really had nothin to gain by battling cam

cam definitely won the battle but no one cared

and didnt u read nas's fed magazine's interview:ahh:
he has absoutely no respect for cam
he called his album wack and threw him a subliminal, that's all he was getting.

LL getting offended by a non threatening line by a guy who looked up to him. Making dude change the line. Then making a WHOLE verse dissing the guy.

That takes the cake. hugh hefner dont get more p*ssy than that my nikka

I don't see how that's p*ssy

It's an a$$hole move for sure but being p*ssy is like being a coward or something imo

:myman:

I remember an NY head on here saying something about back when Suck(Touch) It or Not was getting radio play, it was on the top 10 of a major radio station in NY...forgot which, but they had a poll in which listeners could weigh in and say who they thought was winning the beef between Jay/Cam, and the overwhelming majority said Cam :lolbron:

Sure enough....that song mysteriously disappears from the countdown, and Cam suddenly no longer gets radio play :mjpls: Coincidence?:mjpls::patrice:

:heh: Bullshyt. Whether or not Jay liked Cam as a person, he definitely respected his lyrical prowess, and obviously viewed him as a threat...which is why he did the most to take away his platform. Yeah...Cam won the battle, and it went under the radar because...once again, Jay sabotaged him and took away his platform. He didn't wanna deal with anything close to Ether again so he bailed out like a bytch, pulled bytch moves behind the scenes with his industry clout, then chose to go after Jimmy who's lyrically weaker by leaps and bounds.

I'm really sick of this whole "he didn't respect him blah blah blah chose to ignore him cuz he wasn't worth it blah blah" cop out. No one would give any other rapper a pass for such fukkery, so why should Jay get that? Look at Pac...that nikka took on all comers, which is exactly what someone high in hip-hop status should do. You claim you're the king of NY, yet you have one of NY's biggest artists at the time disrespecting you on wax and you choose to ignore it on some "I'm too good" shyt? :wtf::laff: Anyone else would be labeled a bytch for that, flat out. That whole situation is just one of the reasons why I don't have much respect for Jay IMO. Dude just comes across as a passive aggressive snake bytch who basically gets by kissing white ass for industry pull. Someone also mentioned in the thread how Jay "won" cuz he has a better career, more money, etc...okay, so you're saying he won against Nas as well? By this logic, Bill Gates could put out a diss song and you'd have to say he sonned Jay cuz he's richer, right? :laff: Jay was the better business man, but Cam was clearly the better rapper.

ummm no
maybe he respected the pre tootie frutie cam'ron lyrically, most rappers did,
but though cam's dip set era was more entertaining and had more hits, his lyrics were almost comical at times

what behind the scenes shyt did he pull (serious question)? all i remember is cam dropping that diss (which was dope), Dropping a movie, and dropping that disappointing album dat had weak sales., and eventually ppl lost interest. cam was just never a A class rapper. i don't think jay was scared of him or a ether because i don't think he saw cam'ron on that level. i mean he was his boss just a few years prior. Probably saw him as a annoyin lil nikka.

i agree with you that i don't like the "he chose to ignore him" stuff. its a cop out and is some hoe shyt. But trust me, if eminem made a diss track towards jay-z best believe he woulda came back with a full fledge response.

jay responded, just not what the way same ppl wanted him to

As a sound engineer who was on that tour Smurf needed to go home. He whooped the tour managers ass (a 50 year old English dude who wasn't bout trouble) and used the excuse that the tour manager stole his hoodie to try justify 5 fractures in dudes face. The law suit potentially coming 50s way was massive. Smurf just got all emotional and bugged out about why he was sent back to the hood and started talkin reckless. Then 50 acted like 50 as retaliation "I'm like God to you nikkas"
